Supreme Court hands President Obama a major victory on health care

Jun 28, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Washington Post

The Supreme Court's decision to uphold President Obama's healthcare law amounts to a massive political win for the incumbent, an independent validation of the single most prominent - and controversial - accomplishment of his first four years in office.

but what if 'those of us who are responsible and already pay for health insurance' have to pay for ours, and then have to help pay for others...in other words we pay extra, they pay nothing...is that good or bad? And don't say "I'm willing to do my part for the betterment of man and saving the planet' it will just be more welfare for people already too worthless to earn what they already get.
You're already paying that in higher insurance premiums due to higher medical costs because millions are uninsured and just go to the ER for free medical care at your & my expense.

I told you that Obamacare would be upheld by the Supreme Court and now you have to fall back to your delusional fantasy on a RINO Romney winning… President Obama was a Constitutional Law professor, how in the Hell did you ignorant right-wing idiots think that you knew more than him when it comes to the constitutionality of anything?
What a great day as I watched the President; President Obama just keeps knocking the crap out of you tea-bagging idiots with his chess board… STFU and go away; you lost again, LOL.

More LIES!
1. According to Obamacare, Only Small Businesses employing 50 or more employees are required to provide insurance coverage to employees
2. 96% of Small Businesses employ LESS than 50 employees
3. Small Businesses providing Healthcare coverage for their employees do get Tax Credit under Obamacare
4. Only 4% or less Small Businesses might be affected by Obamacare
Another GOP LIE!
we currently employ about 80, so perhaps we can cull that down to less than 50 and make it work. First, I'll check the parking lot for cars with obama stickers, we can let those go with no problem, then I'll scout for hybrids, those can go, then I'll check for anybody that even looks like a ponytailed ex hippy, sayonara, and last, women with war is not the answer bumper stickers, they can go home and cook, clean, bake cookies and watch the view....problem solved

As expected. The individual mandate was Republican idea put forth by the GOP to prevent socialism----those of us who are insured have historically paid for the costs of the uninsured. HOWEVER, they could not officially call it a 'tax' to cater to their base.
Now EVERYONE has to pick up the costs of providing healthcare in this country. A major victory to both sides Republican and Democrats.
Of course, the RINOs will whine as always because they didn't want to pay for their share of the costs.
America IS Left of Center.
Obama Wins America Loses. A great day in the transformation of America into a filthy bankrupt Third World slum. SCOTUS did the right thing. Congress passed this bone crushing tax increase and the pathetic citizens must submit.

As always with Obama, way way way Less costs way way way More. Voters will reward Obama in November. They are thrilled to shoulder higher taxes and embrace lower quality health care for their families.

The laughing liberal wrote:
Romney's Platform: "12 Sound Reasons to REPEAL Obamacare"
No Matter what the Leftist Court stacked with 2 Political Appointees says, Obamacare Has To Go and I will REPEAL IT.
So, let us count the ways that it violates basic principles of sound policy.
1. It discriminates against young people, forcing them to purchase health insurance at inflated prices in order to subsidize older beneficiaries.
2. Simultaneously, the law imposes severe penalties on young people who use Health Savings Accounts to secure health benefits for themselves in later years.
3. Already the administration has granted a long list of exemptions to various companies and unions.
4. Recently, the Department of Health and Human Services dictated that employers, including religious organizations, must cover contraception and abortion-causing drugs in their health plans. Apart from any moral objections to such provisions, why should the federal government tell employers and employees what their health insurance has to cover?
5. Good public policy would encourage health care consumers to shop around and purchase insurance policies that are best suited to their own needs and spending priorities. The health care reform bill does the opposite. Decision-making power is turned over to bureaucrats, who pay no price for decisions that are costly or wrong-headed.
* Good public policy does not raise false expectations. Backers of the health reform bill violated this principle three times over.
Here are those Obama LIES:
6. They promised a) anyone can "keep their plan if they like it'; FALSE.
According to a McKinsey & Co. study, a third to a half of employers plan to stop offering health insurance beginning in 2014. Faced with expensive mandates and less expensive fines, many employers will choose the fines and cause their employees to move to government-sponsored plans.
7. the plan would mandate many new benefits and still reduce the average family premium by $2,500; which is clearly FALSE.
Another study concludes that a typical family health insurance plan costing $12,300 today will cost more than twice that by 2019.
There are no "free" mandates or other benefits -- to paraphrase Milton Friedman.
8. That it wouldn't add "a single dime" to the federal deficit. FALSE. It adds over $1.76 TRILLION to the Debt.
Last October, the administration dropped the long-term care program known as the Class Program from implementation of the new law as financially unworkable. It also added $111 billion premium subsidies to its proposed fiscal 2013 budget.
9. Good public policy avoids ticking time bombs. The legislation will increase Medicaid enrollment by an estimated 24 million new users by 2015. This will put states further into Debt.
10. The law includes a massive new health entitlement/income redistribution program for families earning more than three times the poverty level. In 2014, it will channel up to $3,000 in taxpayers funds to families making up to $95,000.
11. The law is fiscally irresponsible. It includes a raft of new taxes. But these appear to be wholly inadequate to the task of paying the bill for over-promising and extending new entitlements to tens of millions of people. That leaves rationing as a last resort, and the government's own reports contemplate major cutbacks in Medicare spending down the road.
12. The Affordable Care Act is truly unaffordable… and unsustainable. Our government should not erode our freedoms, degrade our quality of life, or bankrupt our future. The health care reform bill does all those things. If it is not struck down, it should be repealed.

Sounds like a plan to me. Maybe if the economy ever picks up again I could hire some of the losers you fire and reward them with minimum wages and obozocare. If they don't like the offer then I can just hire some of obozo's border jumpers instead.

Did Justice Thomas just become liberal? Or did he rule on the law for what it is, a tax increase? The Congress will repeal it, and we will have the same results as if the Court shot it down. This is just another tax increase n the middle class.
Lets see;

First you stated the Health Care mandate would get crushed.

STRIKE ONE!!!

Now you think the Senate will go along with a partisan, right wing decision to repeal the health care law?

President Obama said time and again that the middle class would not pay a dime more in taxes of any kind. Since the Supreme Court has ruled that the individual mandate is a tax, will President Barack Obama try to repeal his tax increase which contradicts his solemn word that he repeatedly gave to the nation?

That is right wing propaganda for you. Now, the pathological liar and all around scumbag Bishop Romputz can go around saying he will take health care away from millions of Americans so they can go and die in the streets.
Yeah, that will play well.
