There is nothing new about this. History has shown us that the most oppressive governments succeed when weapons are kept out of the hands of potential rebels. Although the Jews were Hitler's target, his policy was to dispose of dissenters as well as others who did not fit his Aryan ideal. Without the means to protect themselves, Jews and other "undesirables" were defenseless.

If we study Irish history, we will see that beginning with Henry VIII's declaring himself King of Ireland, there were rebellions and suppressions in every century. In order to earn recognition as a Free State in the British Commonwealth of Nations, the Irish robbed military and constabulary outlets and solicited money and weaponry, largely from sympathetic Irish Americans. Every other rebellion failed, largely because of the lack of weaponry, although poor organization and duplicitous leadership also played a role.

The American Revolution would never have gotten off the ground if most of the participants did not possess firearms and were unaccustomed to using them. To suggest that any group would submissively accept slaughter if it had alternatives is ludicrous.

These groups are so rarely mentioned when it comes to the holocaust: gypsy, homosexuals, and Jehovah Witnesses.

From my lsland nation I can see that Obama has done little for the USA, but I believe all people who live in wealthy countries should be given free healthcare, and when I see so called Christians argue against the issue it makes their religious beliefs a joke, and I think it is the tea bag lot who will deliver Obama victory in your next election. Those people are not exactly voter friendly and are going to cost the Republicans dearly.
