As Usual, Obama Lies Again About His Alleged Accomplishments
" Now, in terms of knowing my commitments, you don’t have to just look at my words, you can look at my deeds. Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is MY committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran, as a way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don’t obtain a nuclear weapon."
******Obama is not a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Obama just made that up so he could count the committee’s action as one of “my deeds.”

RACISM IS ALIVE IN AMERICA.

How can Obama claim to be a "uniter" when his religion is based upon racism, i.e. black liberation theology. Here are a few statements from James H. Cone, one of the founders of black liberation theology, about the nature of Obama's religion, and you tell me if they are consistent with Christianity or "unification."

(1) "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

(2)“To be Christian is to be one of those whom God has chosen. God has chosen black people."

(3) "While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism."

(4) "All white men are responsible for white oppression."

(5) "Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man "the devil."

(6) "If there is any contemporary meaning of the Antichrist, the white church seems to be a manifestation of it."

I recommend that you do a little research on Obama’s so-called religion, black liberation theology. First, here is a link to Obama’s church where they admit they preach black liberation theology, and that it is based on the teachings of James H. Cone. They offer his seminal book about Obama’s religion on their site, also. It is called “Black Theology and Black Power.”

http://tinyurl.com/5q7rjk

If you have the time, read the books of Cone, starting with the above-referenced book. I have to warn you, however, that all of the hatred and racism makes for a rather depressing read. If you don’t have time to fully research this issue, then go on the web. Here are just a few sources which are helpful.

http://poligazette.com/2008/03/17/black-liber...
http://tinyurl.com/59uwhr
http://tinyurl.com/33vxgq
http://tinyurl.com/3q49g6

Also, here is the church’s Black Value System that Obama adhered to for 20 years:

1. Commitment to God

2. Commitment to the Black Community

3. Commitment to the Black Family

4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education

5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence

6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic

7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect

8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"

9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community

10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions

11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System

12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

After you have completed your research, you will find that Obama’s religion is NOT CHRISTIAN, like he professes it to be, but racist and divisive. Then, you need to figure out in your own mind, what it says about a man who would practice such beliefs for 20 years, who would expose his family and children to this theology of hate.

Obviously you haven't "absorbed enough". But a big round of applause because you have at the very least read it.

Also, Im pretty sure the teachings of CHRIST were the foundations for CHRISTianity, not the old testament, but thats just a guess.
On the basis of distorting the Bible, different people make different things of it, and learn different lessons. And obviously you've made something completely different than I have.

which way do you prefer it - taking no responsibility for issues in the black community or working to make change within the community by focusing on the community?
Don't assume that all of black theology has the same viewpoint because all pastors will tell you otherwise. They all have their commonalities but none are exactly the same. Pastors within the same church will have varying opinions on a number of topics. I take exception to anyone who makes the statements you have and have NEVER been to a black church, not even 1. As a black person, I've been to many and not one is exactly like the other. Some of them do express some prejudices against white folks and against homosexuality. However 95% of the time, the sermons are about fixing the plight in the black community and it doesn't involve anything other than having blacks in general change themselves for the better.

Do the pastors in the black churches believe that "white America" is responsible for the dysfuntion of the black family? And if so how do they go about trying to "fix" generations of families with a dysfunctional attitude? If this is a feeling amongst black Americans when and how do they take responsibility for themselves? If a pastor has not been able to make a change in it's churches throughout the years why would "white" America believe that Obama is the answer?

The numbnuts who were ignorant enough to vote for Bush twice...this is hard to imagine, now will show their ultimate lack of awareness to what is going on in the world by voting for Mc Same. The Bible freaks will vote for McSame only because they have only one issue...that is of course the abortion issue. They are God's vanguard to save unborn fetuses while the rest of the world goes down the drain. They have such a marrow vision on things that they cannot see anything outside of that issue and having their heads buried in a book written by men in the early fourth century. Prompted by Constantine, the church which he somewhat formed to his liking, was to have 50 copies of the text which had not been yet in its final form. One might say Constantine rushed God's hand a bit. This is of course the Constantine who changed the entire view of Christianity from a loving pacifist mode into a nation supporting militaristic view as we now have today. Had we not had his iron hand pushing the bible to be written we would have had an entirely different book with a much different message. Christians please do not study history ..it may burst your sterile bubble of a book written by God and infalible. The reality is it is just a book written by man. No more credible than the Koran or any other religious writing. Just the facts mam!

You present a false choice. One can take responsibility for one's actions AND work to better one's community at the same time. As to the various manners in which black pastors preach, I am focusing on Rev. Wright, because Rev. Wright was Obama's "mentor and spiritual adviser" for 20 years. Rev. Wright admits that he preaches black liberation theology ala James Cone, which is very racist and divisive. I venture to guess that if McCain had attended a white racist church for 20 years, and considered its white racist pastor to be his "mentor and spiritual adviser," you would not be quite so ready to defend him or his views.

NO~ and a resounding NO again! Black pastors see drugs as the problem in the black community. We do recognize that drugs has a hold on the community that we have been unable to shake. It's caused many new problems. The problem people aren't in church to begin with. They aren't hearing the message. They don't pay attention what society at large is telling them. It's a seriously hard struggle. Some entire families are besieged by the perils of drugs in one form or fashion. Those who aren't simply struggle to keep their families going on the right tract. White America shouldn't look to any single person to solve the problem, just like McCain won't end the meth problem in the white community. I hope all of America isn't expecting Obama to be a cure all for everything that ails America. What is unique about Obama is that he is black, or at least partly, and can address issues that face is racial community in a way that a white politician can't simply because he has never lived the experience.

BAF: Let's remember that black liberation theology is only preached in a very small minority of black churches. I would guess that the vast majority of black churches do not preach racism and anti-Americanism, as does Obama's former church, Trinity United. What is interesting is that of all churches from which Obama had to choose, he chose a racist black liberation theology church to attend, and considered its racist pastor to be his "mentor and spiritual adviser." This speaks to his character and judgment much more than the lofty words that emanate from his teleprompter speeches.

Actually, the Bible correlates accurately with the writings of other scholars contemporaneous to the period of time when the Bible was written. For instance, the historical existence of Jesus Christ is also independently corroborated by non-christian writers of the time, Josephus, Tacitus and Pliny the Younger.

The notion that the Bible is a fraud, is a relatively new one - the people alive at the time of the writing of the Bible did not challenge the historial context, but mostly the divine nature of Jesus.

OBAMA SPEAKS IN GERMANY -- WHICH OBAMA SHOWED UP?

In Die Welt, the German publication, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich., said: "No one knows which Obama will show. Will it be the ideological, left-wing Democratic primary candidate who vowed to 'end' the war rather than win it, or the Democratic nominee who dismisses the progressing coalition victory as a 'distraction'? Will it be the American populist who has told supporters in the United States that he will demand more from our allies in Europe and get it, or the liberal internationalist hell-bent on being liked in Europe's salons?"

Yep, my point was how does the black community figure that Obama will make "some" be more responsible, and as of yet the pastors of the black churches hasn't made too much headway.

Keep in mind that on this matter too, Obama has staked a position on both sides of the issue. He talks about more personal responsibility, but, does not mention cutting (he is all for more of them actually) these onerous social programs that keep people addicted to the government teate.

No matter how you confront him on this, he'll say he's being saying this for years. He's a two faced cockroach.
