Slavery was in use long before atheism became a way of life. Slavery exists - and is 100% condoned - in the Holy Bible the faithful claim to live their lives by, i.e. Egyptians using Jews as Slaves, Jews using Hebrews. Slavery, in the old and new testament alike, is neither atheistic in and of itself, or spoken against.

If your Bible is to be believed, then it was believers like Adam and Eve, their children, and their children's children that first introduced slavery to the world.

Most serial killers grow up in religious households, and hold their religious beliefs above all us. Many of them even claim that it was the voice of God, himself, telling them to commit the atrocious acts they've done. Dahmer, for instance, was very active in his church community. Manson and Albert Fish both grew up in deeply religious homes.

...Um...I'm not sure if you not this, but...um...most communists - which is what Bolshevism is, a communist party founded in Russia in 1903, which eventually became "The Communist Party of Russia", and went on to found the U.S.S.R.- are Christian, or some other religion of their home land (in Russia, at that time period, it was mostly Christian, of which the Bolsheviks were members). Karl Marx was a Christian too. Along with Hitler (though he was technically a Jew, you could argue - but let's face it they're all the same load of bullshit in the end), Stalin, Mussolini.

Mormons murdered hundreds of people in Utah, in 1857, on September the 11th (kind of...conincidental), why did they do this? Because they were trying to protect their right to practice their religion.

The Inquistion 1154 to 1204 A.D.- Thousands upon thousands were slain, simply because they did not have a perfectly similar belief system to the Roman Catholic Church, nor Christianity in general. They were murdered for thinking, for seeking knowledge no matter what the cost. They were tortured by having their joints forcibly dislocated, simply because they didn't believe. This, my friends, was a horrible atrocity. And in some countries, it still happens today.

The Witch Hunts, everyone knows about them. Hundreds of innocent young women burned alive simply because someone who didn't like them could accuse them of being a witch, and it meant instant death for them. No trial, no jury. Just death.

Do you know why people join the church programs in prison? Because it gets them out faster, so that they don't have to sit in their 10x10 cells longer than they would otherwise. The prison systems don't care if they believe it or not, the prisoners don't believe it half the time, they simply want to be back on the streets and out of their jail cells as quickly as they can.

As the vast majority of humans through out antiquity were "religious" & "atheism" is a fairly new concept (previously it was one deity against another)& nearly every conflict was attributed to or the deity was invoked for the killing of others. Your position is anything but realistic.
