I'm not laughing. It is very possible that there will be an amnesty passed and again it will open the door for millions more to come here illegally and await the next amnesty, just as the last one did. If Americans are not willing to stay on top of this issue and continue to fight against an amnesty, there will be no going back for do overs. Contact your government representatives from the local level to the White house and express your concerns. Write, fax, e-mail, call, etc. The Internet is a wonderful tool, let's use it.

While I think Obama will take a different approach from Bush, I do not believe he will be able to give an amnesty like the La Raza groups were promised...there are many reasons he cannot do that. He is likely to take a different approach, like making it more difficult to get jobs - taking away the lures that draw them here. Hopefully this will cause them to self-deport. Our economy cannot handle them staying.

I wrote to Sen. Menendez (D-NJ) stating my view that the E-Verify (Basic Pilot) Program SHOULD be passed at least for the next 5 years, and should be mandatory statewide, afterall it is free....no response yet....last time I expressed my outrage over illegal immigration to him he e-mailed back saying nothing of the subject but thanking me for my interest in the NAU/SPP - huh? Clearly, he has and is pushing as pro-immigration, in the meantime as we in New Jersey are a democrat-debt laden state of $32 BILLION, many hospitals (6) have closed, unemployment nationwide has risen with more to come, yet the gov here gives money to the newly arrived legals, along with housing, clothing, and more importantly JOBS....why???????? I ask - I do know that it is all politics here in New Jersey - from the law to the jails to the employers of illegals - seems that being illegal gives them immunity??????? It has and is creating resentment, among citizens legal immigrants. But yet, I still thank God I am in the best country in the world. Keep the faith.

Hence the reason i didn't vote for him.They dont fix the root cause of the problem. The immigration system is not broken, its been under funded for so long they cant keep up with the current flow of 1 million new citizens each year.Keep families together ?? They "don't have any right to take back land won in a war". Do you mean land that they won or that the U.S. won?
You need to study the Mexican American War. Some would argue that the U.S. did indeed steal land from Mexico.

WAIT A MINUTE! It is not true, I know hundreds of Hispanish people who came to this country LEGALLY, and they are furious that La Raza org. puts everyone in the same boat. Spanish people who came here LEGALLY are totally against given amnesty to law violators. They say that if you have nothing to fear apply for a visa, and come LEGALLY. Many of those ILLEGAL broke the law because they are criminals, and they couldn't get a visa in their countries.
