Gay couples aren't trying to be men/women couples anymore than you are trying to be a white (or black) couple. Gay people are sexually and romantically attracted to members of the same sex.
Tell me where being 'sexually attracted' is a requirement for a marriage license....

You are confusing equal legal rights with equal physical abilities. No two people have the exact same set of abilities. They is one reason our government was founded on the principal that they should all have equal fundamental legal rights.

While you may choose to ignore the similarity in the denial of equal civil rights, clearly the courts as well as many civil rights leaders of the past and present disagree with your position.

Anti-gay marriage laws and inter-racial marriage prohibitions prohibited the legal recognition of the marriage of two people who are otherwise qualified.

If you check this documentation, it compares the arguments against inter-racial marriage to the arguments against marriage equality for gay people. You will see, they are essentially the same arguments.

Just because it may not be part of YOUR marriage, doesn't mean that MOST people don't seek it.

And it goes beyond just being sexually attracted. Marriage (as it's defined today, which is different from the many definitions it's had in the past) is about compatibility in a variety of areas. Romantic compatibility, financial compatibility, and of course physical compatibility. Few people marry without considering SOME kind of compatibility. They aren't just joining up JUST for the goal of making children.

If it turns out that a couple CAN'T make any children, they don't typically divorce without a second thought. Most remain together out of love, mutual attraction, and commitment to each other.

If you think that people who feel that way have an "identity crisis", then you don't understand people very well.

There are few requirements.

You fail to provide any legitimate governmental interest sufficient for denial of equal rights to gay people who are otherwise qualified.

Gay people are seeking to be treated equally under the same laws, rules, and regulations that currently apply to you.

Your pejorative terminology intended to demonize and dehumanize fails to provide any scientifically supportable justification, nor legitimate governmental interest, sufficient for denial of equal rights as required by the constitution.

Again, you married your husband STRICTLY because he was a man, right? No love? No attraction? Just because he was male, right?

This is what homosexuality and the gay agenda is all about!
An act can't be immoral if all parties consent.
And yes, if it feels good, I'm going to do it. I'm not going to deny myself pleasure because some imaginary god says what I'm doing is "evil".
So, again, tell us what good denying yourself pleasure has done.
I notice you couldn't deal with that.

To hell with the rules, regulations, norms, and values if they make no sense. But I'm careful not to do things which are wrong. And being a responsible person, I don't take on responsibilities I know I can't or won't handle.

You've already answered the question indirectly......you married him just because the requirement was to marry someone of the opposite-sex......I get that........and I'm sorry for the marriage of connivance you obviously have:(

I didn't marry my wife just because she happen to be a woman, but because I love her, am physically attracted to her and want to take care of her......and we still managed to meet the requirements that our State had set at the time of our getting our marriage license.

Oh and the State didn't ask us about if we were in love, or attracted to each other, or if we planned on having children.........and I seriously doubt the State cared about why you specifically married your husband!!!

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Scorpio

You're in a nicely emotional and loving mood today, and you'll be happiest if you can be with some of the special people in your life for at least part of the day. You don't have to do anything terribly special when you're together, either, because simply sharing a relaxing meal or watching television together will be enough. If you get talking, the conversation will turn to confidences and secrets.
