Barack Obama has managed to pile up a double digit lead over John McCain, according to an LA Times/ Bloomberg Poll. Respondents split 49% to 37% for Obama in a head-to-head match.
Obama's 12 point lead only grows when pollsters throw independent candidate Ralph Nader and Libertarian Bob Bar into the mix. On a four man ballot voter's support grows for Obama, 48% to 33%, giving him a 15 point spread over McCain.

6 My barrista has similar views to mine, but he's not qualified to be president, so I won't vote for him either. Likewise my mechanic. Likewise my mailman. Obama flat isn't qualified. If he was, I'd vote for him. Maybe in eight years when he's proven himself in the senate. |

11 If their main aim is to perpetuate the Middle East as a conflict zone and thus earning large revenue for the war corps, then by all means vote for the old guy. |

1 ?????????? Uhhh....is this your first election? Neither candidate is actually the official nominee until their respective convention. This is why they're referred to as the "presumptive" nominee. But that part of the race is OVER! Are you still clinging to some false hope that he will lose to the ZERO other candidates left in the Democratic race? Hahaha! Classic! |

5 Obama is lucky it wasn't winner take all in those states... or he would never have have hung on. Unfortunately, in the general election coming in second gets you 0 electoral votes. No way will Obama come close in November. |

4 Ralph Nader is running and if you check out his website, he's bashing Obama more than McCain. Ralph Nader's supporters are liberals and would be voting for Obama if Nader wasn't running. McCain has Bob Barr to worry about. Most of the Barr supporters voted republican in the last election. In the next 4 months, I see Obama running out of steam. I think he peaked months ago. After the conventions, the gloves come off and it will be all out war. When the dust settles, Obama will trail McCain by double digits going into the election. Obama has too many skeletons in his closet. He will wish he had taken Hillary up on the offer of VP. She had a better chance of beating McCain. But she will be back in 2012 and will be very hard to beat, especially if McCain doesn't turn things around by election time. |
