Male domination in church hierarchy is not uncommon.
It's most dominating in The Mormon Church.
What's disturbing is the Female submission to it.
After all, they subject themselves to being Sister-Wives.

Given this latest bru-ha-ha over the Romney-Ryan position of defining the degrees of rape that constitute an abortion, it's that same Male domination over Women being displayed.

I'm beginning to wonder if Romney's religious beliefs are not in play after all.

PS A Victory Story for Mom & Son Dane. But chilling ...!!!

<quoted text>Single mother, huh? "By 1983, Hayes was 23 and back in the Boston area, raising a 3-year-old daughter on her own and working as a nurse’s aide. Then she got pregnant again. Single motherhood was no picnic, but Hayes said she had wanted a second child and wasn’t upset at the news.“I kind of felt like I could do it,” she said.“And I wanted to.” By that point Mitt Romney, the man whose kids Hayes used to watch, was, as bishop of her ward, her church leader. But it didn’t feel so formal at first. She earned some money while she was pregnant organizing the Romneys’ basement. The Romneys also arranged for her to do odd jobs for other church members, who knew she needed the cash.“Mitt was really good to us. He did a lot for us,” Hayes said. Then Romney called Hayes one winter day and said he wanted to come over and talk. He arrived at her apartment in Somerville, a dense, largely working-class city just north of Boston. They chitchatted for a few minutes. Then Romney said something about the church’s adoption agency. Hayes initially thought she must have misunderstood. But Romney’s intent became apparent: he was urging her to give up her soon-to-be-born son for adoption, saying that was what the church wanted. Indeed, the church encourages adoption in cases where “a successful marriage is unlikely.”
Hayes was deeply insulted. She told him she would never surrender her child. Sure, her life wasn’t exactly the picture of Rockwellian harmony, but she felt she was on a path to stability. In that moment, she also felt intimidated. Here was Romney, who held great power as her church leader and was the head of a wealthy, prominent Belmont family, sitting in her gritty apartment making grave demands.“And then he says,‘Well, this is what the church wants you to do, and if you don’t, then you could be excommunicated for failing to follow the leadership of the church,’ ” Hayes recalled. It was a serious threat. At that point Hayes still valued her place within the Mormon Church.“This is not playing around,” she said.“This is not like ‘You don’t get to take Communion.’ This is like ‘You will not be saved. You will never see the face of God.’ ” Romney would later deny that he had threatened Hayes with excommunication, but Hayes said his message was crystal clear:“Give up your son or give up your God.”
Not long after, Hayes gave birth to a son. She named him Dane. At nine months old, Dane needed serious, and risky, surgery. The bones in his head were fused together, restricting the growth of his brain, and would need to be separated. Hayes was scared. She sought emotional and spiritual support from the church once again. Looking past their uncomfortable conversation before Dane’s birth, she called Romney and asked him to come to the hospital to confer a blessing on her baby. Hayes was expecting him. Instead, two people she didn’t know showed up. She was crushed.“I needed him,” she said.“It was very significant that he didn’t come.” Sitting there in the hospital, Hayes decided she was finished with the Mormon Church. The decision was easy, yet she made it with a heavy heart. To this day, she remains grateful to Romney and others in the church for all they did for her family. But she shudders at what they were asking her to do in return, especially when she pulls out pictures of Dane, now a 27-year-old electrician in Salt Lake City.“There’s my baby,” she said."

Look for the 'Historical federal reciept and outlay table'.
Tax policy center is run jointly by the Brookings institute and
by the Urban institute, their table uses IRS data
. If you were to google 'annual tax reciepts' this site
would come up on top of the search.

9 lies about Obama's life
Rick Moran

David Maraniss's new biography, "Barack Obama: The Story" is shredding the carefully constructed mirage of a life story that Obama rode to victory in 2008.

BuzzFeed has 9 interesting fibs told by Obama about his life. Here are a few:

1. Hussein Onyango, Barack's grandfather, wasn't really imprisoned and tortured by the British. Interestingly, this destroys the case that some conservatives have made about Obama's hatred of Great Britain - or at least the primary reason for it.

2. The father of his Indonesian stepfather, Soewarno Martodihardjo, wasn't killed by Dutch soldiers in the fight for independence.

3. Regina, a friend at Occidental who Obama writes about as a symbol of the authentic African-American experience turns out to be based on Carolina Boss, who is white. Regina was the name of her Swiss grandmother.

5. Obama wrote that he broke up with his New York girlfriend in part because she was white. But his next girlfriend, an anthropologist in Chicago, was also white.

7. Obama wrote about his high school friends as an alienated, ne'er-do-well "club of disaffection." In fact, most members of the "Choom Gang" were "decent students and athletes" who went on to successful careers.

8. Obama's mother left his father, not the other way around.

Interesting to see what Obama chooses to lie about when it comes to his life. Dating white girls apparently embarrasses him. His mother's independent spirit also gave him pause. And obviously, turning his grandfathers into heroic anti-imperialists reflects a desire on his part to be seen that way.

Someone will compile a complete list of lies and ommissions from Obama's "official" biography. I think we'll probably see more of the same.

Anne Romney is the type of arrogant snob that I wouldn’t give the time of day to. I wouldn’t trust her or her crooked husband as far as I could throw either of them. As for me, I couldn’t really care less whether or not they release the tax returns. It will have no bearing on my vote. There isn’t enough of ill-gotten Bain money to buy it. Unlike our politicians, I am not for sale.
My husband is a federal employee. He has to submit credit reports from all three agencies every ten years. We have to ask security for a “soft check” when we want to buy a car. We want to move but a charge account that is 8 years old was labelled incorrectly (paid/not closed) and DoD doesn’t want anything else on our credit until that account is changed to “paid/closed.” just to get the job, which is a low level clearance, he had to submit high school transcripts & tax returns, all of his past employers were contacted, his military record was gone over with a fine tooth comb, and more. A few more 1040s are more than reasonable for the public to request of a man who wants a job that includes sole authority over the nuclear football.
your husband was vetted more than Obama, who in one of his rare press conferences on Monday said that "those seeking the White House must know their life is an "open book."

LOL! Obama, the least vetted, least transparent President ever --who only divulges military secrets--had the gall to say that about anyone.

Mr. President...
a quick question on your economic platform, if you would.
During our modern economic era an apparent pattern has emerged
our greatest periods of economic prosperity have occured
when the tax burden , measured as a percentage of the GDP stood between
18%- 20%. A rate too high , over 20% does slow growth
however if one dips below 18 % the effect is to grow debt and slow down the economy
If re-elected would you endorse a return to these .'Prosperity' rates.
The current rate 16.6%. with th largest tilt towards wealth since Hoover.
What do you believe the optimum rate to be sir?
I believe the rate is less important that what the taxes are spent on.
Government should have a limited role in the private lives of citizens.
The era of which you speak also saw welfare reform and a boon in technology that hasn't been seen since the industrial age.
Investing in real energy sources such as domestic oil, coal nuclear power is fine and if taxpayer money is being utilized, I'd require those same energy companies to return investment in cleaner, yet unproven energy and R & D of such energy.
Rather than taking that money from the private citizen in the form of stimulus in which much of those funds were wasted on advertising touting the stimulus and producing a net gain of zero jobs.
