I'm grateful that an African-American has become president-elect. One less issue to conflict Americans.

Barack's politics, his leftist supporters and his anti-2nd Amendment stance concern me most.

Financially I do not believe he will be any different than any other politician. They all view the public trough as their own to use/abuse.

One other great concern is how the newsmedia has impacted most on this election. Strange how the "Fairness Doctrine" only applies to talk radio 'ey?

I think the point was that he's half white and it's like he's disowns that part of his genetic make-up.Not only is he half white it was his white grand parents who assumed the responsibility of raising him.His balck father ran out on him and his mother and yet he identifies with his deadbeat dad instead of his responsible grandparent and mother.wtfit

So democracy's right for this country so long as it only goes your way, right? For eight years we put up with stupidity and recklessness, but we still sent our children into harm's way on this fool's war mission because that was the patriotic thing to do. Well, now we've elected some rational common sense to the White House, and it's your turn to live with a government you apparently won't like. Take down your flag, then, if it means so little to you.
How many terrorist attacks occured on U.S. soil after 911? Do you think that it is just a coincidence? Are you not at least a little concerned with some of the people whom Obama has been associated with?

He recently suspended his campaign to be with his grandmother before her death, how could you assume he doesn't identify, he speaks well of his grandfather in his books, where is your assumption formed?

Oh so Black identification is a mixed African American from Harvard Law School? Isnt that identification laughed at in the community for being too white. Why is it ok now that an Educated Black man is 95% widely embraced when your leaders have been preaching Education since before segregation . I'm just trying to figure out whats in it for the "hip hop ebonic speaking young black man." I'm not being ignorant . I really want to know how he relates to the Harvard Law review? Tell me how having a Black President makes that kid stop saying "axe" instead of "ask." It doesn't. That black kid is offensive to a lot of people, there in lies your circle of racism that will continue.

My hope is that a 5 year old black kid watches Obama and thinks Education is where its at, being a Father is where it's at, and being true to his Black woman is where it's at.

These things people have been saying for decades. However, when I say it it's racist. When Obama says it it's Gospel. See how silly you look to us sometimes. So go ahead and celebrate what we have been trying to get you guys(black people) to be like all this time. Its about time. See what happens when you don't stubbornly speak ebonics around white people, we back you 100%.

I'm look forward to a new Generation of Africans Americans looking up to Obama!!!!!

If you dont believe me. Run a video of Barack Obama speaking and then run a video of Allen Iverson speaking and you'll see what I mean.

I've never heard him disown his mother or his maternal relatives.

Self-identification is an individual decision. I'm bi-racial, but I identify as black. That's my choice just as it is his.

Choosing how you identify your race was not always a choice. At one time and still to a large extent the "one drop" rule was applied. The idea being that if you had even one drop of black blood (i.e., DNA) you are black.

How would you react if he claimed to be a white man based on the facts that his white grandparents helped to raise him and his black father desserted him and his mother? Would that make him any less black or any more white?

Dad,

Your preception is wrong. For a lot of the individuals you are identifying, a spirite of hopelessness is their reality.

Today those little black boys can aspire to dream to become anything they desire. Today they have tangible evidence.

Obama's Presidency doen't end discrimination and hateful racism. However, it can be over come.

Wrong answer, patbmak. My flag will stay out front every day. Throwing a fit because your candidate lost puts you down on Michelle's level. Rise above that. I am proud to be an American no matter what. I didn't take my flag down during the Carter debacle. I didn't take my flag down when Clinton disgraced the Oval Office (both literally and figuratively). I'm not taking my flag down now, either. If Obama makes good on his dozens of pie-in-the-sky promises, great, good for him. If he doesn't, well, that's why we have term limits.

I hope you're not suggesting that black people by definition can not be educated because that is certainly what it sounds like you're saying.

As for "whats in it for the 'hip hop ebonic speaking young black man.'" you might want to ask one because only that person can answer your question. I nor anyone else can speak or take responsibility for an entire race.

When you say black people, who are you speaking of? I hope you mean to address your arguments towards a particular class of people (i.e., uneducated and willfully ignorant) not a racial group. No race has a monopoly on ignorance.
