But in MANY cases the drops were resulted from discouraged workers leaving the labor force, perhaps to return to school. Once unemployed workers stop looking for jobs, they are no longer counted in the unemployment rate.

I'll give you one better, look at the "real" employment rate. Take the number employed and strip out part-timers. The rate went down the whole time bush was in office and now you bozo's are just catching on.

Anyone want an intelligent conversation? What is the effect of deleveraging (where banks that have taken $1 and made it act like $25 - 30 reduce that to a more sensible $10 on inflation? Why is deflation such a concern instead of inflation?

Why didn't Gold go up with the inflation rate? Right now Gold is half the price it used to be when inflation is factored in. And why don't the scare mongers (Republicans) tell you that?

Bush was not the biggest problem in the market decline. He had a hand in it, but, was not at the center. The crash came from the international bankers and their grab of power. Problem-Reaction-Solution. The bankers inflicted the crash in the economy and the same people who orchestrated the crash are the same people who are coming up with solutions to the crash they created.

Obama can not do anything to stop the next crash from coming. You can expect it with in the next year. Just have to listen to what these bankers are saying and what they already own. These people will manufacture another crash to pave the wave for the global currency (SDR's).

The decline came from the falsehood Madoff scheme of the derivitive markets where bankers were recieving 100-1 returns on their investments. The market was created on nothing and based on nothing but speculation. Now when they pass this cap and trade derivitive market with the global tax, it is the same thing as all other false credit bubbles. These bankers will use it for a short time and then crash the market to soak up the ownership of everything else.

You do not understand as most people do not. The financial system has collapsed. No amount of bull is going to change that. What we have is, who is going to pay for the the now dwindling amount of people to still live well. Obama is backing the "poor" and the unions first. Or should I say second because he paid off the rich in the bailouts first. America has much potential, but the men and women who are truly negative have hijacked it and turned us into a nation of woe. But they are happy. For they are of power. President Bush to me will always be a traitor. No one signs legislation to lose rights and still gets away with it from those who can still think. Yet he has.
