Giving money, so far as I know, is not a punishibloe offense under the law. Therefore, politicians should not be using their power to keep a business from expanding. I have seen a case where they are being sued for gender discrimination, but I don't believe it has gone to trial yet. And closing down a business does not correct the situation. It only causes unemployment. The best thing to remedy that is to make them pay dollars for it. Being gay, I would never patronize such a business, but I do't believe closing them down or refusing permits is the answer. No my friend. Yours, was the most intelligent quote of the day. It is been saying pretty much what I've been saying all along. Punishing thousands of hard-working low-paying Americans that are poor, doesn't solve the issue, but makes the Liberals feel good.

I am neither a Liberal nor a Conservative, but rather a mixture of the two. That is probably why I can see shades of gray in just about any issue, and can learn from discussion. Topix seems to be filled with two extremes, battling only to get the other side to relent, and buckle under.

The shades of "grey" you speak of could be the result of some form of addiction. Caffeine IS the gateway drug ya know. :o) In my mind you use words to describe things you would not do, and because you don't like them they are wrong for everyone. The fact is, I don't judge people by what they do in their bedroom, so long as no one is harmed, it is consensual, and everyone is of legal age. Beyond that it is not my business, or yours.

Lee, a Chinese- American seems to have developed a taste for exclusion. . By extension, I would assume Mayor Lee wants no Orthodox Jews, Conservative Muslims or Black Baptists in San Francisco either. . Upsets the naked men there? San Francisco is not a modal city. populations has been stagnant at least 40 year. gay friendly laws have encouraged the best and brightest to discourage new arrival of a simpler vain. that is why the gay population is 15% compered 3% nationally. and has lowest children popualation.

The reason Dan Cathy is being denied permits to open new stores in these cities goes beyond "personal belief". Dan Cathy has been giving money to organizations to keep LGBT citizens from enjoying all the same liberty and justice as every other citizen. This "personal belief" is according to their religion. In the U.S. religion has no authority and the constitution is clear that no law shall be made that will establish religion as a law. The U.S. Supreme court has ruled several times that making any law against any citizen that furthers religion is unconstitutional. There is no such thing as "god's law". Are you saying that it is correct to deny a Christian business the right to do business through government redtape because of their Christian beliefs, but it is illegal to deny through government redtape a muslim mosque from being built? Are you saying that double standards are acceptable?
