Auschwitz - "Mengele conducted medical experiments on twins. He also directed serological experiments on Roma (Gypsies), as did Werner Fischer at Sachsenhausen, in order to determine how different "races" withstood various contagious diseases. The research of August Hirt at Strasbourg University also intended to establish "Jewish racial inferiority." "Other gruesome experiments meant to further Nazi racial goals were a series of sterilization experiments, undertaken primarily at Auschwitz and Ravensbrueck. There, scientists tested a number of methods in their effort to develop an efficient and inexpensive procedure for the mass sterilization of Jews, Roma, and other groups Nazi leaders considered to be *racially or genetically undesirable*." Giving a goose forward to "survival of the fittest". You view, not fact? I quote from the conclusion of the paper Was Hitler a Darwinian? By Robert J. Richards of The University of Chicago “ Hitler and the Nazi biologists I have considered certainly claimed a hierarchy of races, but that idea far antedated the publication of Darwin’s theory and was hardly unique to it. There is no evidence linking Hitler’s presumption of such a hierarchy and Darwin’s conception. Moreover, Hitler explicitly denied the descent of species, utterly rejecting the idea that Aryan man descended from ape-like predecessors. “ Notice that the name Mengela and the name Hitler are different Notice the difference between the names Fischer and Hitler Tel me, why do you persist on voicing your personal opinion as fact?

Some hick telling a tabloid that he was anal probed is not considered 'compelling evidence' I think those stories are the result of someone trying to explain away the medical evidence of their unintended re-enactment of the movie Deliverance. Um..I didn't get drunk, pass out, and then get raped in the woods by a bunch of in-bred hillbillies, it was this alien with a probe! Although all things considered they should be thankful they didn't run into a Bigfoot. You know what they say about guys with big feet! Well on that pleasant note...have a good one DF!

There is really nothing more to discuss with you since you ignore every reasoned, logical response. Reasonable & logical? So it is reasonable & logical to dismiss something like Bigfoot that Native Americans spoke of, Vikings spoke of, Some of the first explorers spoke of & many people today spoke of. I guess this is a coincidence? How can you even so easily dismiss a giant hairy smelly bigfoot type creature described by so many different peoples & groups in America through out the centuries? How can something like this just be dismissed & mocked. I NEVER said Bigfoot is real. I think it COULD be real. FFS with Natives speaking of it, Vikings, Early colonial explorers & then modern accounts all seeing the same thing? I see how all of this just happens? If this many are seeing this same damn thing then I am not going to say Oh no Bigfoot can't exist!

I actually thought your post had a lot of good points. I left them out of the reply though because of the ending. I wish you could see the irony when disparaging other racists. If you were to substitute the words "Western Europeans" with any other group that has been on the receiving end of bigotry, how would you post be any different? I am assuming you haven't personally met all of Western Europe right? The last half dozen posts concerning Europeans have been disconcerting to say the least. If you dialed back the racism and anger you have some decent thoughts to express IMO. I generally just dismiss someone when shown to be racist but it is possible once in a blue moon to get through to someone so I generally try at least once. What is your problem with Western Europeans? And why do you think it can apply it to everyone? You really think just because someone doesn't believe in UFO's or Bigfoot that is a indictment of their character, morals, or approach to the world? Seems like you are taking it very personally and not sure why. Anyway, hope you consider how your words are being perceived because they appear to be very bigoted towards millions of people whom you have never met. Just saying (T) Peace

Cemeteries too. Old burial grounds. They weren't. Although the people I was with were still convinced, after pointing out each "ghostly" events origin. "thats just a rat/squirrel/mouse in the wall".... "no, what you're hearing is the tin roof creating a reed effect as the wind blows" "that's an owl" etc... etc... etc... People will see a ghost in a leaf being blown across the floor by an eddy of air. I have come to the conclusion that people will believe EVERYTHING they want to believe, regardless of any proofs to the contrary. BTW, most of the time I was the only atheist within these little forays. The others were Christians of varying strengths. The contradictions there are amazing. Yeah. As long as one person believes it is haunted...thats all the proof others need. I'd spend the night in a "haunted house", if I were given the opportunity. I've got to admit, It'd be nice to be paid for it.

So I really do live in an area that is a peak hotspot in America for paranormal.
It is very common for people here to speak of the paranormal.
There was a girl here who was traumatized as a girl when she saw little aliens go through her backyard at night.
Another of my friends saw an alien walk down the road.
So many people have seen U.F.O's
Most people I speak with have seen a U.F.O or have family members that have. Gee,*I* live near CT, but I've never seen a ghost. I've also never seen anything paranormal. I did see a topless woman walking down the street once. Topless as in her boobs were uncovered-not as in headless.

Such one track minded people with extreme desperation & anal issues. It is always the same sh*t from your filthy chimp like people. What ever your filthy people do you always get really desperate, chimp out & get all one track minded & anal about it. Your people did this with Christianity, Imperialism & Racism in the past. Now your people do it against Christianity, for Peace & Against racism. Your people just constantly change & ALWAYS chimp out of what ever your people are desperately having anal one track mind fits over. Now you are doing what every other fundie does. You are taking the things said to you out of context and now being the same nasty person as the rest of the fundies because people are simply trying to show you that you did no research to find out what things were. It's typical and I see it every day on topix. Now we are 'filthy chimp like people' because we like to see all avenues explored rather than just saying it's supernatural. What you haven't seen in your determination to have things be paranormal is that several people have not been narrow minded, have said that there are things we cannot explain, but that we look for rational explanations first. You have not said once that you looked for anything other than rational explanations or talked to anyone qualified to examine your UFO sightings or the other things you've experienced. I'd say you're the one seeing things in black and white and missing the gray areas. But you go ahead with your simple-minded explanations to yourself and be happy with them. I for one am tired of dealing with fundies who have to be right with no evidence other than what they think they saw. I for one tried to have a rational conversation with you, telling you I have had experiences I can't explain and trying to come to some middle ground with you. You have refused even that. So go play by yourself. You've come here under several different names trying to convince people that only you know anything about anything and that only your explanation can be the 'only true' explanation. I tire easily of fundies.

Hedonist wrote: <quoted text>Actually planets also have retrograde motion as their orbits around the sun and our orbit around the sun produce some interesting angles.
Polar orbits are typical of spy satellites. These are large satellites in low orbit and can easily be seen with the naked eye in the right circumstances. ISS, Hubble, and other large satellites also usually appear to be polar, or close to it, so their track is NE to SW or SE to NW.
These large satellites will reflect sunlight and appear as large moving stars when viewed going over right after dark or right before sunrise. Basically, whenever you are in the darkness (umbra) and they are still in full sunlight (or at least penumbra if they are big enough).
There are a number of websites and phone apps that will track and let you know when these objects are visible at you lat./long. Planetary retrograde motion is not discernable in a few hours. Most satellites move across the sky at about the same rate as a high flying jet. They'll go horizon to horizon in a matter of a minute or two. I was thinking geo stationary, but they're 23,000 miles high. Geosynchronous could move that slowly, but they would be at their slowest at apogee, and not visible naked eye. There is a illusion pilots experience at night that can make low stars or lights on the ground appear to be moving. I've experienced that, but the causes of it are related to being airborne. High altitude research balloon is a possibility. Those things get huge when they reach the edge of the atmosphere.

HugeKielbasa wrote: <quoted text> Yes I know the energy transmits information between neurons. So what about that? Look at other things that transmit things? Do radio signals just stop right there? That is why I think ESP could be from that our neuro transmiters may not stop inside our brain but could actually travel outside of it almost like a radio signal. Perhaps this transmiter if it can send information & then it has some capability to hold information. What if this energy (Which is obviously so strong) lives on? Maybe this is why Spiritual accounts are almost like only slightly living. That only the energy is slight. But slight enough for the neurotransitters & all the other energy to live on. It is not like accounts of the spirits are like living like us. They are like half dead usually. They don't seem to live like us if they do. If Neurotransmitters can send information then they must have a slight capability to hold information otherwise they couldn't send information. Picture a loading dock with trucks. The trucks can hold loads to bring to the loading dock. So yes the loading dock is like the brain & it holds more. The trucks are like the neurotransmitters bringing storage to the loading dock. Neurotransmiters must be able to hold information the issue is they just can't hold information like the Neurons do. Yes but some Spiritual accounts seem to suggest they can go dorment & then energy can set them off. That they will tap into energy sources like electrical outlets in the house. Lightning storms are known to lead to a higher rate of spirit activity. Sometimes different areas with higher mineral continents have higher conductivity & that is thought to increase spirit activity in these areas. Your analogy of loading docks and trucks is not correct. Within a neuron, signals are electrical. Between neurons, the signaling is chemical. See http://science.education.nih.gov/supplements/... A neuro-transmitter is a molecule that is released from one neuron to relay information to another cell. The neuro-transmitter will bind to a matching receptor at the other cell, which can result in facilitating an action potential or inhibiting one. This is a chemical signal. Each neuron can have thousands of connections; it is the pattern inscribed in connections between millions of neurons that constitute a memory. We are not transmitting memories like a radio antenna. Without the complicated neural network of billions of neurons, the electrical signals don't have any meaning. And without constantly refueling ourselves by eating, we will not have the energy needed to sustain these activities. Imagine a car with a bad battery - a battery that doesn't retain the charge. As long as the car is running, we have energy for all electrical/electronic things in the car. When the car runs out of gas, the car stops, and everything in the car also stops. Similarly, when we die, any electric energy is converted to heat and dissipates; chemical energy dissipates as the body decomposes.

I personally haven't said any of these things CAN'T exist. What I have said is there is no evidence that they exist, the studies that you have shown are only the ones that agree with you and that you accept nothing that might explain it to you in a different manner.
