We bought Alaska for the oil not the ice cubes, you silly person. Democrats should look closer at Joe Biden. Closer at who is BO's benefactors from Illinois. Oh by the way, Nancy Pelosi promised change within the first 100 days of a Democratic majority in Congress, what has she done lately or have we forgotten that. Oh, I know what she has done. Set up a climate where gas prices rose from $2.20 to over $4.00. Many Bush bashers like to point out how much gas has risen since he became president, but forget to point out that gas went up $0.70 in his first 6yrs of office and around $2.00 after the democrats took over.

If you elect Obama, you have to worry about it from Day 1. The Dems have little experience at the TOP of the ticket with Obama, whereas Palin in running for VP.

OBAMA BIN BIDEN: THE CULTURE OF CORRUPTION The Obama campaign faults John McCain for having seven houses. But the one house Obama's got he obtained crookedly, through his connections with corrupt Chicago businessman Tony Rezko. Now it turns out that Joe Biden is mixed up with Rezko, too. Didn't they vet this guy? From the Chicago Sun Times: Biden has described himself as a 30-year friend of a key figure in the Rezko trial who's pleaded guilty to a federal extortion charge in Chicago and is awaiting sentencing. When the Delaware senator began contemplating his own 2008 presidential run, he initially was helped by Chicago lawyer Joseph Cari Jr., who also served as Biden's Midwest field director in his failed 1988 bid for president.
In 2005, Cari admitted to taking part in an $850,000 kickback scheme that prosecutors say was part of a larger political fund-raising operation for Gov. Blagojevich overseen by Rezko, who was convicted in June of wide-ranging corruption involving state deals.
On the day Cari's name first surfaced in the federal probe of the state Teachers Retirement System, the former finance chairman for the Democratic National Committee and for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee was to have hosted a Biden fund-raiser in Chicago. Cari was a no-show at that July 25, 2005, event.
Offering Cari a vote of confidence at the time, Biden said, "All I know is Joe Cari is a friend, and he's an honorable guy, but I don't know anything beyond that."
...Two other donors whose names surfaced in the Rezko case -- Chicago lawyers Myron "Mike" Cherry and Anthony Licata -- donated to Biden's U.S. Senate campaign, as well. Cherry has given Biden $5,900, while Licata gave $1,000. Neither Cherry nor Licata has been accused of any criminal wrongdoing.
Earlier this year, in a bid to distance Obama from Rezko, the Illinois senator's campaign fund gave away to charity an amount equal to what had been contributed to the Democratic presidential hopeful by Cari, Cherry and Licata.

No, you look foolish making a multitude of ridiculous remarks. Everyone here should be more concerned with issues. After reading so many of these posts, the issues would be over the heads of most! For this election though it is simply Race Vs Gender like it or not. This is gonna be fun. How do you take, moose stew out of context, fool!

She confessed earlier to not knowing much about the war.... "I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq," ... yet still makes a rambling comment that makes Bush look articulate and ends up all about her son's deployment. I wonder if she'll ask her running mate if he has a plan for Iraq. http://www.youtube.com/watch...

I think the article is trying to point out that Sarah Palin is more like a typical American than the three "out of touch" men in the race.
I'm glad to see she has real-person interests like hunting, playing sports, and being involved in her children's lives.
She didn't get her house through shady dealings with a convicted felon; she doesn't have any friends that tried to blow up government buildings in the 60s and 70s; she doesn't have a pastor who hates white people and screams "God Damn America;" she didn't win her first election by using the dirty political tricks to challenge the signatures of all her opponents in that election until she was the only one on the ballot; she wasn't "absent" from her job for most of the time she held it; she CAN speak eloquently without the aid of a teleprompter; and she didn't ponder philosophical questions with law school students at an elite private university.
She certainly identifies with the people better than Antoin Rezko's boy Obama.

Oh what the hell, everyone with a feel-good story, and little administative experience is welcome to apply to be "President for a Day" in the new America. PS Why are so many people who 12 hours ago never heard of Palin so anxious to jump on board that this was a good idea?

As to Obama's experience, well eight years in the Senate should count for something- as well as being in the glare of the media spotlight for 1 1/2 years being scutinized on every subject relevant to being President. Yet so many people are anxious to welcome aboard Palin as the better candidate (even though she is someone who they know nothing about....)

I have yet to see more than spin and dismissive responses to questions asked about Obama. His supporters posting outright lies on every public forum they can find isn't helping. Examples provided upon request.

Try 2 1/2 years in the Senate... all spent running for President.

Hmm wrote: If McCain is elected, he's not going to last an entire term, he'll drop dead from cancer or a heart attack. So, Palin would be President. Seriously, who thinks she should be president? She has little experience in running a government and no experience with foreign policy. Obama can actually say he has more experience than she does. I think it is a bad pick, and it was probably done solely to try to pick off disgruntled Hillary voters from the Democrats. Couldn't have said it better myself..you are soooooo right....
