I have to disagree.

As president, I don't think so, but he has been a great Senator and done more good than harm. I was proud to call him my congressman when I lived in Arizona. I voted for him in November '86 also.

No one who runs for office ever agrees with anyone 100% of the time.

This right wing conservative Christian is NOT and NEVER will be leaning to the left! That is the most insane thing I have heard. Just because people are fed up with Republicans that act more like Democrats doesn't mean they have "switched sides" and now support liberalism. That is wishful thinking on Democrats' part.

Far too many have.

I first asked the above in 2005. Today, I think I have my answer. Far too many have. Far too many morally, ethically, and mentally deficient types have found ways not merely to forget, but to blame us for the murder of more than 3,000 people, our fellow citizens, on this day. To say, well, it really wasn't all that bad, not worth risking anything or doing anything about. Far too many more are not willing to do anything to prevent another such day, so another will indeed come.

Yet, we are on a path that will lead to a better day, if we have the courage, the fortitude, the commitment, and the sacrifice to do what is right and needed. I have been fortunate this last year to see the living embodiment of that will, and to see the actions -- and the results -- from it. Some of those living bodies did not make it home, just as those in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the planes did not make it home on this day.

Today, I will stand in silence in honor of those murdered this day. I will also salute those who have died since in the cause of freedom, sacrificed of themselves with portions of their bodies, and watered the Tree of Liberty.

I ask you to do the same. I ask you, Never Forget.
