Not a surprise. The republican party has proven itself to be an epic failure.

Sounds like they are finally starting to listen to the word of Christ instead of just hearing it.

No, it's a poll. You may not like the result, but there it is. Actually, evangelicals have been breaking with the Republicans on several issues for some time. Many evangelical groups have been taking the lead on environmental issues, expressing dissatisfaction with the traditional Republican view (do nothing and hope the problems go away by themselves) and the formerly predominant evangelical plan (rape the environment as much as possible before Armageddon gets here). Thank God.

The misunderstanding is that main line churches are somehow related to Christianity.

As a retired military veteran, I thought I would always vote Republican. But when the litmus test for any Republican candidate is how "religious" they are and what religion they belong to, that's when I find another party. If there are six billion people in the world, there should be six billion DIFFERENT religions. No church figure could possibly have the insight to tell you how and what to believe, and what BS you have to accept "on faith."

Lemmings. But then again, isn't this the same group who allow Gay Ministers and Gay Marriages? You can have 'em Demos

Christians are so scared that they'll do anything to stay politically correct.(sorry for the pun)
The pope changed position on alien life, and admitted that there a problem about gay priests that abuse little boys just because they are concerned with public opinion . What if science proved without a doubt that the core of the earth was made of marshmallow, there would be the biggest sale of skewers in the history of mankind.
This only proves that they are easy to manipulate and fear is ruling their lives. Oh no! the trend is changing, let's all run for the hills!
