A knee replacement may cost $11,000 in Costa Rica, but can be as much as $45,000 in the United States.

Mike wrote: Before you look to do harm to Chief Justice Roberts or his family, it’s important that you think carefully about the meaning – the true nature — of his ruling on Obama-care. The Left will shout that they won, that Obama-care was upheld and all the rest. Let them. It will be a short-lived celebration. Here’s what really occurred — payback. Yes, payback for Obama’s numerous, ill-advised and childish insults directed toward SCOTUS. Chief Justice Roberts actually ruled the mandate, relative to the commerce clause, was unconstitutional. That’s how the Democrats got Obama-care going in the first place. This is critical. His ruling means Congress can’t compel American citizens to purchase anything. Ever. The notion is now officially and forever, unconstitutional. As it should be. Next, he stated that, because Congress doesn’t have the ability to mandate, it must, to fund Obama-care, rely on its power to tax. Therefore, the mechanism that funds Obama-care is a tax. This is also critical. Recall back during the initial Obama-care battles, the Democrats called it a penalty, Republicans called it a tax. Democrats consistently soft sold it as a penalty. It went to vote as a penalty. Obama declared endlessly, that it was not a tax, it was a penalty. But when the Democrats argued in front of the Supreme Court, they said ‘hey, a penalty or a tax, either way’. So, Roberts gave them a tax. It is now the official law of the land — beyond word-play and silly shenanigans. Obama-care is funded by tax dollars. Democrats now must defend a tax increase to justify the Obama-care law. Finally, he struck down as unconstitutional, the Obama-care idea that the federal government can bully states into complying by yanking their existing medicaid funding. Liberals, through Obama-care, basically said to the states —‘comply with Obama-care or we will stop existing funding.’ Roberts ruled that is a no-no. If a state takes the money, fine, the Feds can tell the state how to run a program, but if the state refuses money, the federal government can’t penalize the state by yanking other funding. Therefore, a state can decline to participate in Obama-care without penalty. This is obviously a serious problem. Are we going to have 10, 12, 25 states not participating in “national” health-care? Suddenly, it’s not national, is it? Ultimately, Roberts supported states rights by limiting the federal government’s coercive abilities. He ruled that the government can not force the people to purchase products or services under the commerce clause and he forced liberals to have to come clean and admit that Obama-care is funded by tax increases. Although he didn’t guarantee Romney a win, he certainly did more than his part and should be applauded. And he did this without creating a civil war or having bricks thrown threw his windshield. Oh, and he’ll be home in time for dinner. Brilliant. Source; http://www.ijreview.com/2012/06/9398-why-chie... Right on ,Mike. Another point to be added in:The "penalty",a thing now called"tax",imposed on the ones that do not purchase insurance, will be collected by the I.R.S.But they can not collect by any legal means,as with normal taxes, they just add interest onto the bill and can not take one to court over this if never paid! Then if ever collected, this "tax" goes to pay for the Obama Medical Care.!Not the general fund.So ,since the Insurance policy has already been changed, the Obama statement of keeping your policy,is not true.Since the Advantage Plan was removed earlier, last year. Many seniors had this one.Now we are advised the Insurance Pools will be companies "allowed " by the State(Governor),it is certainly going to be the "allowed"one will have to pay to get into the pool. That means ,again, the Insurance to the individual will increase. All of this just means the people have really been screwed by a very smart ideologue.'

Were your youtube videos supposed to have anything to explain or refute that Obamacare isn't going to apply to the politicans and their families, as well as the special interest groups, like unions and businesses that have made the proper campaign contributions...?
Like I've said before, Congratulations! We will all have health insurance! Now, are we going to get around to actually solving the rising health care costs, access to actual health care and the like?

The reason to join and support the Tea Party. They support the idea of the President and the Congress not making any laws that pertain to the people, but also have to pertain to them. And any goodies such as SS# and medicare should be what the President and Congress have, not the better that they do have, but just what the people have!!Now would any expect Congressional persons would vote for this? Or,the President sign it?I for one,am entirely for this!!!

Hello wrote: Question.... If you don't pay the tax do you get free medical coverage???? Really good question,I don`t know the answer to right now. Will try to find out. You only get the tax if you do not buy insurance coverage. The answer might be,what coverage do you have,or get,if you have no coverage?!My guess is,you go to the emergency room for care, and then just walk away.Same as now.But there is involved in the Bill indicates you will receive a rebate if you buy the coverage or a fine if you do not.The actual workings of all this will evolve as time goes by.None seem to like what comes up now, except the children being covered by the parents til age 26,etc.and the coverage being provided for existing problems. What is bothering me is that all state this is the largest tax increase ever in the U.S.

My suggestion to all is to vote for Romney, get this Bill removed, and then get a real bill covering the listed good parts, and deleting all the rest.Like,a 5 page bill to do what is in this 3000 page bill turning this Country into another failing socialist country.

Where I was headed with that was if you are covered either way why pay the tax?? Also if it's collected by the IRS then why can't they just get it when you file your income taxes. But either way the working class dogs end up footing the bill... Or is this basically putting everyone on welfare..

This 7 minutes video was pretty good at cutting to the quick about the costs of health care and cost of insurance, and why Obamacare isn't going to help. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/dummy-bears-gui... In a nutshell, if you could buy fire insurance for your home AS IT'S BURNING TO THE GROUND, why would you waste your money on insurance before hand? There's no difference between that and forcing insurance companies to not price medical insurance premiums based upon the actual pre-existing risk of those applying for medical insurance. Why bother buying insurance when you're healthy, when you can buy it at the same price after your sick? It'll force insurance companies to raise premiums, cut benefits, and health care costs as well as insurance premiums will spiral ever higher, and we'll end up with the "single payer" system of Europe and the disaster that would be.

You are retarded there can be no other explanation ... There has got to be more false information concerning Obamacare than about anything in human history! Articles deviate wildly from authoritative analyses on the subject. The CBO estimates that from 2012 to 2022, the law's insurance provisions should have a net cost of slightly more than $1.2 trillion after certain offsets. On a yearly basis, the expected annual cost averages out to about $154 billion from 2016 to 2022. Obviously, if one uses today’s ‘depression revenue projections,’ one arrives at rather gloomy numbers but that is not a realistic figure. In March 2011, the Congressional Budget Office's director testified that the law will reduce the federal deficit by $210 billion because of changes "in direct spending and revenues" from 2012 to 2021. These Romney “facts” are completely false and can not be supported yet he has reppeatd them over and over: "Obamacare … means that for up to 20 million Americans, they will lose the insurance they currently have, the insurance that they like and they want to keep." "Barack Obama and his team" are "socialists in every respect of the word." "Obamacare adds trillions to our deficits and to our national debt."

We got a new deal in the big scheme of things, we may be able to forgo our last three years untill we can recieve medi-care and afford some privatetized health insurance,or buy it from the exchange, so many older folks in the job force due to the fact they cannot afford health insurance or are simply denied health insurance due to there health risks or preexisting illnesses. My brothers and sisters, and children could precievably retire early now seeing they may be able to buy there health insurance at a afforable cost; --- The benifits of obamacare go on and on. ------- Obama care will go down in history as this presidents new deal. - Or we can elect Romney, who wants to repeal and wants to Raise the retirement age and has flipped on many important core issues. I have a good idea who Barack Obama is and what he stands for. -= I have no idea who or what Romney is and he has never stood for anything that he hasnt flipped to the opposite of what he stood on the last election. - http://youtu.be/rsCmiFcRyIc ... This is Mitt Romney ? ------- Nope, I think the american people will vote for the big O. The big O feels better to me than raising the retirement age. - Peace out.
