Romney battles Obama for cash advantage in election By Alina Selyukh and Alexander Cohen | Reuters – WASHINGTON (Reuters)- The Republican Party and presidential candidate Mitt Romney have almost $60 million more in the bank than President Barack Obama and his Democratic Party but campaign finance experts say it is too soon to assume that means a political advantage in November. The Obama and Romney campaigns are vying to become the most successful fundraising operations in U.S. history, with help from their national parties. In July, Romney raised $101 million for his campaign and the party, outpacing Obama for the third month in a row. Obama and the Democrats hauled in $75 million. Birfoons would like to believe that Barack Obama graduated from Punahou High School, and allegedly registered at Occidental under the name of Soetoro as a foreign student (somehow faking that he was not from Hawaii despite the fact that he had to provide high school transcripts to Occidental), and then transferred to Columbia under the name of Barack Obama. Meanwhile, they apparently believe people such as McCain, Romney, and other well heeled Republicans could not find a student directory from Occidental, which would have listed him under the name of Soetoro if he had registered under that name. Yet the birfoons persist, "I think it is more likely that he registered under the name Barry Soetoro and that he registered as a foreign student." This of course, with nothing but a wish and prayer. And then they wonder why they are called birfoons. <quoted text> It defies the imagination. wojar wrote: "Romney has generated less enthusiasm from small donors ...." http://tinyurl.com/9kdsccb I knew you would fall for it, "those under the $5,000 limit ". You see after Gallup said that more "small donors" where donating to Romney they were talking about UNDER $100 not $5,000. Only a Libtard would think that donating $5,000 comes from the "average" voter? Tell me, if you have an income of, let's say,$40,000 per year and you donate $5,000, that is $12.8% of there income. Now, how many people can afford that?!? Everyone knows that the Washington Post leans left and when someone comes out with an article to promotes any Republican, they must come out with their own spin. Only a Idiotard would think that "small donors" could afford a $5,000 donation to anyone!!!! Oh, and let's say that Obama got one million dollars in donations from donations that averaged $5,000, that would be just 200 voters. But if Romney got one million dollars in donations from people who averaged $100, that would mean that ......10,000 voters donated. You must have failed fourth grade math!

Typical Rogue bilge, like when he states, not guesses, states that Obama is Muslim because he wears no jewellery during Ramadan and 5 minutes later states he makes beer in the White House and drinks it too. Some Moslem! Our country has univeral health care, and I know plenty of others that do, lived there and though not perfect by any means, they beat not having any AND to my knowledge, do not go into patients' bank accounts. I just don't see a democracy like the USA doing that kind of thing. Politicians, lawmakers, the citizens, would not accept that.

I've always called myself socially liberal and fiscally conservative.(Secret: I'm a registered Republican, but voted for Obama.) I will no longer vote for any Republican for any position at any time. I've become a straight ticket Democrat. Republicans have gone 20 steps too far toward crazy. And my husband is in the same position. A position we just call...sanity. We are what most would consider financially comfortable. Some might consider rich. We don't feel rich. We live within (below) our means. We pay A LOT more than 13.9% in taxes. And we're generally okay with that because we don't build roads or bridges on our own. We think the government should do that. And we expect to pay for it. Honestly, we feel a little like we pay more than our fair share ... But, we still get to live okay, so, rules are rules. We generally in principle supported Occupy but didn't speak up. We generally in principle support "Obamacare" but didn't speak up. We generally in principle are concerned about eroding free speech and an increasing police state but didn't speak up. But now, we think we have to start speaking up for women. Is it too late?" LL You speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The inmates have taken over the Republican asylum and Todd Akin is a prime example. This guy is the face of the GOP and while they were quick to throw him under the bus, they all were in lock stock agreement with him until he inadvertently exposed them for the low life vermin they really are. With their vicious attack on women’s rights coupled with their senseless efforts to suppress the vote they should more aptly be named the fascist Party. These people are truly nuts as evidenced by the mentally challenged WND zombies posting on this thread.

Rougie, you claimed that Romney has many more small contributors than Obama and have yet to cite a specific article or poll backing up your claim. You still get an F. Obama has "over 250,000 more donors than Romney." http://tinyurl.com/ctbwyf5 As Romney campaigned to lock down his nomination, he has raised $13.4 million in donations of $200 or less, just 11 percent of his total, according to the Campaign Finance Institute, a Washington-based research group. Obama through May 31 had taken in $99 million in contributions in amounts of $200 or less, 41 percent of his total. ttp://tinyurl.com/7hmon2v wojar wrote: "Romney has generated less enthusiasm from small donors ...." http://tinyurl.com/9kdsccb
