BTW, you do know that Du Page County is the heart of the conservative branch of the Republican party in Illinois, and the esteemed Judge Duncan (now retired) was highly regarded as a thorough and scholarly judge, known for his fairness and courtesy to all parties, who remains a leading figure in conservative Republican circles. Before law school, he served two tours in Viet Nam as a paratrooper. Hey Wojar, Speaking of detached retinas, that is one of the determinig factors of what is commonly called "Shaken Baby Syndrome". I think it is caused by the sudden acceleration and deceleration of the brain within the cranium. Skull fractures and other broken bones in kids are not in and of themselves proof of abuse.

During the three year period beginning February 2009 our United States of America has seen the greatest creation of WEALTH in the entire history of the world including the time of the Babylonian Empire and the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt.[106.1% growth in U.S. equity markets] . Never in this great nation’s history has such an extraordinary accomplishment been achieved with virtually no inflation (the “invisible tax”) at the same time as the obligations of our United States Treasury are at the highest level of creditworthiness in our 224-year history.[1.24% inflation in 18th month in office and 1.96% yield on the ten-year bond in the 36th month] . [The marginal tax rate in 2011 for a family with taxable income of $65,000 filing a joint return is 15%-- the lowest rate since Title 26 began to affect all Americans in the 1930s – and a far cry from the confiscatory rate of 42% in 1984.] . Sadly, for the unemployed (primarily the uneducated and the little people who lacked the common sense to attend our great nation’s elite Eastern colleges and professional schools), this unprecedented WEALTH CREATION has been distributed mostly to our already very wealthy conservative Republicans who own the nation’s largest private business enterprises that employ the little people and who belong to the most exclusive private country clubs that also employ the little people. . These uncontestable hard ECONOMIC FACTS make it impossible for our conservative Republicans to argue against this nation’s unprecedented prosperity in November without resorting to criticism of the unemployment rate among the uneducated and the other little people. Unfortunately, this means that the Keynesian economics of wealth creation must be ignored while focusing on the economics of wealth DISTRIBUTION. . The principal classical economists who were more concerned with wealth distribution than wealth creation are Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx. These are the economists whose principles are embraced tacitly by all of our conservative Republican politicians who whine about the level of unemployment while ignoring the greatest three-year period of prosperity in the history of the entire world.

A topic of discussion among my fellow lifelong, multigenerational ultra-conservative Republicans at our exclusive private golf club (that was founded in the 1890s, but is not in Hinsdale) is the INTRUSION OF GOVERNMENT into our daily lives. One thing we are fighting mad about IS the limitation on our God-given freedom to drive at 105 mph on the left side of the road after a few cocktails that bring our BAL to .25. You aren't fooling anyone idiot, I know enough people from Canada, most of them are coming to America for treatment and have secondary medical insurance plans so they don't have to wait in the lines created by your "free healthcare." You also fail to acknowledge a big difference between Canada and the US, Canada pays a fraction on the Military compaired to the US because the US provides the military protection for Canada. That is why you are able to invest more of the money stolen from the people- taxes- on healthcare while maintaining the same miserable fiscal outlook as the USA. 1. The Health care portion of my VAT,provincial and federal taxes does not come to over $1,000 per month. Not even $100 for my whole family; 2. You don't know anyone from Canada seeking health care in the US.There are some who won't wait in queue for elective surgery, IRMs or cat scans, but that's their decision and if they can afford it, good for them. But remember, they are not in danger. They go to the US while the deposed president of Yemen, Saudi Princes and the likes go to the US with their bags full of US oil dollars while over 50 million Americans have no access at all to ANY health care. And countless more with mediocre coverage. How about the Americans who come to Canada and pay out of pocket for first-rate treatment, as that is cheaper than buying health coverage in the US? And never mind the hoards going to Mexico, and more and more to Cuba. Do you by any chance have numbers on all those Canadians getting medical treatment in the US? I'll give you US figures if you want. Did you see Brian Williams's report on Health care the other day? At least, we don't have bill collectors asking us to pay for medical treatment in advance while being put under. You are totally clueless as to what our system is here. Told you, we are among the first 5 for life expectancy in the OECD BECAUSE of our health care, not despite. You're, I believe, 29th, Check it out; Military protection? We've contributed more per capita than you have in the two most important wars, WW1 and WW1. In men and money. And more than 9 years participation combined for both wars to your less than 5. You're protecting us today? Laughter. Against who , pray tell. Your military budget is out of sight, to please the militrary-industrial complex, remember Eisenhower's warning as he left office? He knew what he was talking about. You don't. Your military budget is more than France, the UK, Germany, China and Russia combined. Why's that? Are they all your enemies? Don't spar with me, you don't got it.

Frank wrote: The Supreme Court decision will likely hurt Obama's re-election campaign because the majority of the voters do not like ObamaKare as written. BUT it hurts the credibility of the "birther"-tea crumpets, because it exposes them as intellectual midgets when it comes to understanding our sacred United States Constitution and our grand 800-year tradition of Anglo-American jurisprudence generally. The "birther"-tea crumpets were FLAT WRONG with respect to the legislation's constitutionality. The fact that the "birthers" and their fellow ignorant and uneducated cohorts despise the Rule of Law so much that they brought more than 100 frivolous law suits over nonsense had already alerted the general patriotic population that the "birther"-tea crumpets were nothing more than high school dregs with an intense loathing and irrational hatred of the man they (the vast majority of patriotic Americans) had elected in a landslide victory (68%).

'Fast and Furious' gun sting had '96 precedent in Minnesota Key ATF agent faced similar questions here. Article by: KEVIN DIAZ , Star Tribune Updated: June 28, 2012 - 10:28 AM WASHINGTON - A key figure in the federal gun-tracking operation that is under fire for helping to put sophisticated weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels also played a central role in a similar sting involving Twin Cities gangs a decade ago. George Gillett Jr., a supervisor in the federal operation in Arizona known as Fast and Furious, is now a cooperating witness in the congressional investigation that could lead to an unprecedented contempt citation against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. As a leader in Fast and Furious, congressional sources say, Gillett has been instrumental in determining who in Washington provided oversight for the operation and whether top federal officials had sanctioned such gun stings before. The Justice Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) initially denied that they had approved the controversial "gun-walking" tactics allegedly used by Gillett and other Arizona agents investigating gun-trafficking networks along the Mexican border between 2009 and 2010.
