Tell you what, if I had my druthers for my inauguration guest singer,it would surely be Aretha Franklin, the late Mahelia Jackson, or Roberta Flack . What do you think?

That he salute the flag by putting hand on his chest in respect and reverence, a resounding YES. Specially today, Memorial Day. That he salute men and women in uniform, NO. You have to be in uniform to salute. I know of no other head of state, in civilian clothes, that salutes men and women in uniform. He should not do that any more than he should carry a scalpel, or a fork to show he also oversees the secretaries of the Depts of Health and Agriculture. Obama shows true respect to his troops by constantly honouring them and seeing to it that they get better post-combat treatment, an area he has tremendously improved. THAT is respect.

Well prior to 2008 he was clueless on how to pay respects to our flag. This picture is from Feb. 2008 and I am sure they took him aside and 'splained things to him.

I can not believe he served as a U.S. Senator and did not know how to pay respect to our flag.

Yes, guess we won't get to discuss Shakespeare or Shaw or Molière or Green or Hemingway or Rousseau or Cervantes with Rogue. He likes to slither as low as possible.

Thanks for replying, wanted to, but what is the use? Rumours of the guy who lost both legs in Vietnam were initiated by, you guessed it, the Democrats. Hell, why not?

This is how Conservatives handle fraud, we push them out the door. I know, I know, you Libtards will point your fingers and yell "Fraud" and you will be correct. But the difference is we Conservatives is we will not tolerate fraud and we clean our own house whereas you Libtards will live in filth.

Rep. Bettencourt Admits Falsified Academic Record, Acclerates Resignation
Monday, May 28, 2012

Local politicians from both sides of the aisle said Sunday that House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt’s resignation scandal is the latest crack in the crumbling facade of the GOP in the Granite State.

A controversy involving Bettencourt, R-Salem, unfolded rapidly over the weekend. On Friday, he issued a statement saying he would resign effective June 6 and not seek re-election to the House of Representatives, citing a need to focus on his new job and upcoming marriage to Shannon Shutts, who works in House Speaker William O’Brien’s office.

On Saturday, state Rep. Brandon Giuda, R-Chichester, called for Bettencourt’s immediate resignation, accusing him of falsifying college records indicating he completed an internship at Giuda’s law office.

According to WMUR-TV, Bettencourt released a statement Sunday admitting to misrepresenting himself to the University of New Hampshire School of Law and announcing his decision to resign immediately.

Can you read and comprehend anything. I SAID "Well prior to 2008 he was clueless ...."!!!! It does not matter if he was pledging allegiance or singing our National Anthem, YOU RISE and SALUTE the flag!!! And I don't care if a loony-toony-lefty site does not get that either.
Oh, did you notice that O'Bummer Boy was the only one not saluting? Got a hint?!?
The good news is that he has learned a lot in four years .... but not enough not to be presidential!!!
And besides, it is the LAW!!!
"United States Code, 36 U.S.C.§ 301, states that during a rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart;....."
I am glad that Obama is acting more presidential but look how long it took him to learn. Why my Chihuahua learns tricks faster than that!

The adds did not malign his patriotism of his military service. It had to do with his political service.
I have a very low opinion of Sen. John McCain. Not for his military service but, AGAIN, for his political service.
But Libtards do not understand that we can disagree without it being RACIAL or Demeaning of someones military service. Why how many times has my military service maligned by the ilks of you. I have been called a coward,"grunt" (which is meant to be offensive but I do not see it that way), a leach on society as if ghetto welfare recipients aren't but we military are!!!

I have done things with helicopters that would scare the crapola out of most of you. In the late 1970's I had to take a civilian lawyer up for a UNrestricted flight demonstration.
You see a civilian instructor pilot was suing the Army for $250,000 for an injury that he caused to himself so they sent two DoD civilian lawyers down to defend the U.S. government. Normally you are prohibited from doing emergency procedures with non-essentially crewmembers on board but the general waved it so the lawyers would have an idea of what caused the accident.
Even though I thoroughly briefed him his eyes bugged out of his head when he did full autorotation (simulated engine failure) touchdowns. He was very glad when the flight was over.
Oh, my friend Paul got the female lawyer. We got flight suits and helmets but you are not allowed synthetic underwear. So she dressed in Paul's office and after they left I checked and there were her panties, bra and panty hose. Yep, Paul had her in her birthday suit if it was not for the flight suit.
Oh, Paul M. was our Munchkin pilot. He was 5'2" before his accident and after they fuse a couple of vertebrae he was almost 5"1". Oh, 5'2" was the minimum foe going to flight school with 6'2" being the tallest.
In the late 1970's to get more female pilots they waved the minimum 5'2" if the flight surgeon approved. They had to have their arms and legs measured to make sure they would fit.

Veterans overwhelmingly support Romney over Obama
Monday, May 28, 2012

U.S. veterans, about 13% of the adult population and consisting mostly of older men, support Mitt Romney over Barack Obama for president by 58% to 34%, while nonveterans give Obama a four-percentage-point edge.

These data, from an analysis of Gallup Daily tracking interviews conducted April 11-May 24, show that 24% of all adult men are veterans, compared with 2% of adult women.

Uhmmm...

FLORIDA, May 16, 2012 — If there was ever a demographic in which President Obama could be expected to find a lack of voter enthusiasm, it would surely be military veterans.

Not so, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Presumptive — finally — Republican nominee Mitt Romney trails him by seven points among veterans who reported enlisting after the Gulf War. Mack McDowell, a former Army master sergeant who "drool(s) over firearms", once supported Ronald Reagan, but has since come to join Ron Paul's fan base.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Aries

You're idealistic and impressionable today, and want to see the best in everyone. Look straight past their faults, pretending they aren't there; concentrate on their good points instead. If a new relationship gets off the ground now it will always be characterized by an aura of romance and fantasy, and a slightly otherworldly quality.
