McCain: Obama Bad For Business

John McCain said Democratic rival Barack Obama is bad for business in a speech to small business owners.

McCain said Tuesday that Obama's policies would mean higher taxes and higher overhead costs. The Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting also criticized Obama for pledging to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement.

McCain said small businesses make the economy run and that his Democratic rival would slow the creation of new jobs.

"You work hard in small businesses to grow and create new jobs and opportunities for others," McCain said. "The federal government shouldn't make your work any harder."

Hope people do some fact checking.Higher taxes causes companies to shut down and or lower the amount of people they have working for them. McCain is right about this one.

Forcing small business owners to supply medical insurance for employees will further sink the ship and put people out of work...that is where I am now...my employer has not turned a profit in two years, employes about 14 people, and we currently take home more than he does.

Obama's health care proposal includes two national private health insurance companies for people who do not have insurance through an employer.

No small business will be forced to provide insurance. In fact, the owners of such small businesses can insurance through them.

Wanna try another lie?

The tax increases Obama talks about are aimed at the Exxons and Haliburtons. Small comanies won't be forced out of business.

Standard GOP propaganda. YAWN!

McCain can not argue sustance on issues with Barack Obama. McCain can't remember wat he is arguing. This guy Barack knows his stuff on issues and if the republican party can't come up with a way to out smart this young man it will be a beat down by the Dem party. McCain sounds pathetic when he tries to make Obama look bad. He needs his claper, because he has fallen and he can't get up.

Check out what your hero wrote in his autobiography on page 127:

"Big Oil is the lifeline of America. Whatever Big Oil wants, Big Oil should get. The job of the American worker is to pay whatever Big Oil asks for a gallon of gas. The job of Big Oil is to keep that gas tank full, regardless of the price...
And when people get old and sick and can no longer work, they should be left out in an alley somewhere to starve or freeze to death. That's Nature's way to get rid of old and sick people."...
That's just the way it is."

Well, how many jobs were created under Jimmy Carter I. Some of the parallels are uncanny. He was all about change also. He also made a lot of middle class promises.

Three years after he was elected, we had double digit inflation, an over 20% prime interest rate and Iran had kidnapped our embassy employees as hostages. We suffered from stagflation, while we all watched Jimmy Carter I turn white haired over the course of a years time as he basically pleaded to their human nature to release our hostages... to no avail. Iran thought we were weak and we were called "paper tiger" by our enemies.

Think hard... if this is what we want. Do we want to feel happy about our candidate... do we really want to "teach the world to sing" and have a "coke and a smile". Does anybody think this is what we need... a feel good pep talk of "yes we can"?

Or do we need to drill more oil at home? Get a domestic energy policy and give this as much attention as the war on terror, because if nobody needed middle east oil... they would be back to being broke. Give me a broke enemy over a rich enemy anytime. Do we need substance over rhetoric? It may not "feel as good" but it's what we do need... substance. We are in no position to try anything new... if new also means unknown and untested. We may not have two chances.

You forget that Carter came in after Nixon/Ford messed up the Middle East and put the dollar to float. Carter walked in and caught the results right between the eyes.

BTW, did you know that if the GOP weren't cooking the books and the unemployment rate were still calculated as it was in Carter's day, we would be looking at an unemployment rate of 12%?

It is a documented fact that Bush 1 met with the Iranians in Paris in October and cut a deal with them. They held the hostages until Reagan was sworn in and the Reagan administration would see that they got weapons. The hostages were released as Reagan was sworn in and the weapons were supplied via Iran Contra.

The only way we are going to get this country back on its feet is alternative energy. The oil in the US is not the light sweet crude that American refineries are set up to handle and alternative energy is ready to go. There are already solar and wind technologies hooked into the grid and a tide based system is being manufactured.

Obama has put out plenty of detail. He made a speech on the economy today with specifics on credit cards and college, taxes and health care. It's on his website if you want to read it. And next week he will address trade and other large, longterm issues.

The rest of your rant is based on the idea that there are no specifics. Well, if you're waiting for the media to tell you about them, you will keep thinking tat way. It's all on the web.

McCain is your typical politician that will say anything against his opponent but offers nothing to Americans. He only does things for BIG Business. Every small business owner should be weary of anything he says. You don't have enough money to make it worth while for him to suck up to you! Read between the lines. Does he support more loans for small business owners with low interest rates? I doubt it!

all the tax cuts that the republicans past have been doing wonders for the economy for so long, so is all the less regulation that we have been having, we are capitalist free market purists, and we leave the market to take care the safety of products, that's why their hasn't be a dangerous product sold in America since republicans took power. those nasty stories by the libera bias media was all lies, there was no lead based toys, there is no tainted meat, no tainted food, no e coli spinch, it was all lies because the company, bussniess said that everything was safe and our federal inspectors aren't needed.

oh yeah, the economy is running like a v12 engine blasting by at 250mph.... I mean there is so many jobs and prices are so low, why just yesterday I spoke to someone that quit their job and got 5 job offers less than a half hour later, there is no unemployment, why all those reports by the liberal bias media is all lies and those so called "common folk" that say lost their jobs are all actors...yes sir... republicans are the chosens one by god to lead the country, cut more taxes, less regulation, we don't need laws to hold bussniess back, we don't need to have the government to protect us, all we need is a bussniess's word and that's it. just like my loan officer with my APR.

hahaha...cons...got to love their thought process and reasoning.
