To Obama, it seems like there are more than 50 states

BEAVERTON, Oregon (Reuters) - The battle for the Democratic nomination has been long and tiring. So much so that Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama seemed to forget how many states were in the United States.

“I’ve now been in 57 states, I think — one left to go,” Obama said. “Alaska and Hawaii I was not allowed to go to … my staff could not justify it,” he added after hearing laughter from the audience.

This reporting service probably left out his correction to '47 states', like 10 seconds after the 'slip.'
Context, in or out, is the bread and butter of sleazy politicians in bed with journalist/editors.
Now think, everyone...
Think clearly here...

This isn’t a flop, this is a mistake, trying to think of what he would be referring to, and as Party primaries general include the territories as if they were states.
But we only have a few Territories of any significant, not enough to add up to 57, even with Alaska and Hawaii, and most of them are even more remote.

Puerto Rico (about 4 million people) located in the Caribbean sea.

U.S. Virgin Island (about 100 thousand people) Located immediately east of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean sea.

American Samoa (about 68 thousand people) Located about half way between Hawaii and Australia, in the south Pacific.

Guam:( about 173 thousand people) Located in the Western Pacific Ocean about 2/3’s off the way from Hawaii to Asia.

Northern Mariana Islands:(about 84 thousand people) located immediately north of Guam in the Western Pacific Ocean.

The rest of our Territories are uninhabited islands, atolls, and reefs, mostly in the Pacific Ocean.(I suppose he could be campaigning to the birds…lol)

"Yes, we know what's coming. I'm not naive," Obama said in the North Carolina speech. "We've already seen it ... pouncing on every gaffe and association and fake controversy, in the hopes that the media will play along."

Anything but real issues:

The League of Conservation Voters
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) scored 0 percent in 2007 (24 percent lifetime) due to missing all 15 votes scored, including the key vote on repealing tax giveaways to big oil – a measure that failed by only one vote.

McCain's Environmental Votes: Inconsistencies Seen
...McCain scores significantly lower than his Democratic rivals for the presidency, Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, in interest groups' studies of his environmental voting record. McCain's lifetime League of Conservation Voters score is 24 percent, compared with 86 for Obama and 86 for Clinton; Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund's conservation report card gave him 38 percent in the 108th Congress and 40 in the 109th....

McCain Calls for 700+ New Nuclear Plants (and 7 Yucca Mountains) Costing $4 Trillion
To satisfy McCain's odd desire to be like the French and get 80% of our electricity from nuclear power in the coming decades would require building more than 700 (GW-sized) nuclear power plants by midcentury -- more than one a month.

Bro, I think you looked to far into my reply. I was pointing out that since the guy I replied to thought this was horrific that they are making a big deal out of this flop. I pointed out they did to McCain and people like him couldn't get enough of it. Know Obama screws up something even easier and it is the right wing press bashing good old OBAMA.

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON --
Recently, Obama's campaign staff have been vetted by the IRS to disclose his connection to the criminal money generating underworld. Besides, his connections to the REZCO MAFIA types, his up-coming Tax Fraud charges — Obama needs to disclose why he is a MUSLIM "PATWANG-FWEEE" and disclose Obama's MUSLIM Farrakhan mob connection to Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Its minister, and Obama's spiritual adviser, is the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. In 1982, the church launched Trumpet Newsmagazine; Wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor. Every year, the magazine makes awards in various categories. Last year, it gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man is Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan and Chicago's Trinity United Church are trumpeting Barack Obama AKA Barack Hussein Obama as the second coming of the messiah. Oddly enough, Barack Obama, and his mentor Rev. Wright, failed to mention Planned Parenthood, an organization established by eugenicist Margaret Sanger expressly for the purpose of black genocide. The Obelus -- Kiss-A-Cuss and "GLORK" black demagoguery of Obama's Stump Lines Echo Malcolm X, foreshadows X - PATRIOT Obama (the nuclear AGA KHAN)- the Umkhonto we Sizwe (or MK), translated "Spear of the Nation" - as the bringer of a “new politics,” rising above the old Washington ways of expediency. It's hard to think of an act more blatantly expedient than renouncing Wright when his show, once done from the press club instead of the pulpit, could no longer be "contextualized" as something whites could not understand and only Obama could explain in all its complexity. Pope Benedict XVI quoted Alexis de Tocqueville and Franklin Roosevelt on the positive role of faith in society, used the term “E Pluribus Unum”(Latin for "Out of Many, One."), and extrapolated America’s long history of interfaith cooperation efforts in his speech to America. Obama should stop suppoting our intervention in IRAQ. It’s time to introduce this false, fake Xerox - X box Obama and invite the self-indicting thief plagiarizing pipsqueke "GLORK" Xerox - X box to meet the Buffalo "GAZOWNT-GAZIKKA" Police Department Buffalo Creek. He is MAD!!!--

Once again a flop is when you changed Position on an issue for police gain. If Obama "flop" here he’s nuts. This was apparently a mistake. Take it for whatever, it just means he not by heart familiar with the nature of the United States, which is not surprising, given his apparently longtime choice of attitude towards the U.S.A..
I would bet Obama is one of them many people who can’t name all 50 States.

How this effects your picture of him and the job he’s trying to run for is up to you.
Personal I’m just trying to figure him out.
I doubt this could be regarded as a flop, as I don’t think Obama is that far gone.

Still think you are reading me wrong. I do not like Obama, I like McCain. Maybe that will help you see where I was coming from. Basicly I agree with you though. Just decided to take the long way around the hill.
