We have became an "entitlements" society
They have bankrupted our country.

In 1955 there were 50 people working for every one person on Social Security

In 2014 there will be 3 people working.

Do the math!!!!!!

A cynical distraction, feint and misdirection; while you're paying attention to their fact-less statements, they're all the while stealing, buying government, pilfering the SS and Medicare funds, passing tax laws that only help them, buying and tearing apart US businesses and sending jobs overseas. Wake up you morons.

<quoted text>I think we should have flat taxes at rates like this....

30k and under income for single person 0% taxes with no deduction......so dont get any money back(30k and up to next bracket single person 5% no deductions.)

60k and under married 0% and same as above.

100k and under married or single 5% no deductions.

100k to 500k married or single 10% no deductions.

500k to 1 million married or single 15% no deductions.

1 million to 5 million married or single 20% no deductions.

5 million to 10 million married or single 25% no deductions.

10 million to 100 million married of single 30% no deductions.

100 million to sky the limit married or single 40% no deductions.

All businesses should be taxed at a flat no deduction 10% rate......

If above rates would be done we would have a budget surplus withou cutting one dime and the people who need tax cuts would get huge massive tax cuts and those who should be paying more would...

ANYONE CAUGHT WITH OFF SHORE TAX SHELTERS OR SCAMMING NOT TO PAY TAXES WILL HAVE ALL PROPERTY AND MONEY TAKEN AND THEY WILL BE JAILED FOR 10 YEARS........
so what if a business losses money? They still pay taxes of 10% no deductions?

Do the math!!!!!!
Did the math and it proves that 30 years of Reaganomics have almost destroyed the American economy's ability to create jobs. Lots more billionaires, but they don't create jobs. Working people do.

They are earned benefits from our pay. Not 'entitlements'. We have already paid for them, and are owed them when we retire. The flying monkeys on the deranged right are bloody stupid.

So far some 4 million jobs have been created under Obama.
Not near enough, but contrast that with Bush's destruction of 8 million jobs.

Oh please. Obama has lost 5,000,000 jobs, and has not created nearly as many. Do you really believe people would vote him out if he was doing anything about jobs? This whole election is about jobs. Americans like the man, but they think he is a total screw up, and we need more jobs.

The George Bush Financial Bailout was an epic event in American History, and some of these people seem to have slept through one of the most recorded events in American History.
Further more, the sad reality is that not many of them recanting those myths they bring to the boards seems to have not read anything beyond these post in years.
This is the Sarah Palin syndrome.
It's easy to understand why employers can't find suitable workers to hire.
To much of the basic information that a typical adult should know is located in a book.
<quoted text>
The TARP bailout was passed under Bush (Oct. 2008). It was a $700 billion dollar fund to bail out financial institutions. Half of those funds were alloted to the Bush Administration, the other half to the incoming administration the following year. These were loans, most of which has been repaid, with interest.

Too Big to Fail (TBTF) came about the following April (2009). This brainstorm of Bernanke and Volker tried to give the fed more regulatory power over financial institutions that needed bailout money, including but not limited to fed power to break them up into smaller companies if they were...Too Big to Fail.

It wasn't until July 2009, that TBTF was to be applied to other than lending institutions.

Bush passed the TARP bailout, but it wasn't until the following spring that TBTF legislation came along.

They're two different things, Sarah.

Careful with that axe, Eugene. Once social security and medicare are gone, they're never coming back. It is so easy to fulminate about entitlements when you're hale and healthy, but difficult to survive without them when aged and infirmed.

I guess that would depend on your individual idea of the American Dream.

For most, the American Dream was what my grandfather came here for: The opportunity to reach as lofty a goal as he pleased or as he was willing to work his fingers to the bone for; to have no man or government standing in his way; to provide a life for his family that he couldn't possibly achieve in his country of birth and pass even greater opportunities on to his own children.

Because in America, the sky is the limit if you're willing to do what it takes.

Entitlemants often means living in low income housing, fatherless, hopeless and stuck. It means poor schools, high dropout rates and teen pregnancy. High crime rates and dangerous neighborhoods. And as we've seen, this becomes generational.

Hardly a dream. It's more like a nightmare.
