State Report: Slow Lifeguards Cited in Great America Drowning
A state accident report concludes that slow reaction by lifeguards may have hampered the rescue of a 4-year-old who drowned at the Great America amusement park last summer. via KXTV

Exactly...a four year old child in that pool? Where the hell were the parents? Why the hell was the child not in a life vest? Why was he unsupervised? The blame the lifeguards? Sounds to me like one of the clearest cases of child negligence and endagerment by the parents out there.
The lifeguards should not feel bad. Yhe parents should feel guilty as hell for leaving their 4 year old non-swimming child unsupervised without a lifejacket in that pool for the rst of their lives. |

So where was the idiot parent. I read on another site that Great America and the idiot parent are negotiating a settlement. I'd like to know how much the idiot parent is going to pay Great America for screwing up everyone else's good time.

Where was the Mother/Father when this 4year old child went into this Pool???? It's easy to blame everybody else for youre Mistake except your'self and now the Parents most likely are getting a BIG Settlement from Great America because the Life Guards were not "watching" their Child. Who in their right Mind lets a 4 year old go alone in a Pool???

I read last year that the Mother claimed that the lifeguards "were not doing thier job". Although that may be true... the Mother definitely was not doing her job! The facts are quite clear: 4 years old, unattended, drowns in a pool. One could say the lifeguards could have prevented the tradegy, but who would let their 4 year old in a pool, any pool, unattended?
