Well folks, get used to our new work environments. As long as Mexican people are in charge of what goes on in the companies, we will continue the downward spiral of work conditions. After all, any work condition here is certainly better than the conditions down south of the border. My former boss hired his "own" and allowed them free rein to do as they chose (play on the phone and computer all day and take naps) while the rest of us (caucasions) were chastised for not living up to his expectations. When they say they will retake parts of the U.S.A. they meant it. Even if it takes one job at a time. Good luck Americans!
You know that Mexican/Americans are still Americans & some of us are veterans of 10 years. I'm one of them. I work for Bimbo & I'm also proud a Teamsters. I don't know what part of Bimbo you worked at but it sure wasn't in the Pico Rivera area. My union brothers are only one race: "Teamsters". By the way, this is the correct spelling of "Caucasians".

Instead of blogging, why don't you just google it.

"The name "Bimbo" has no specific meaning in Spanish; thus, the name has not caused significant uproar as it would in the United States, where the word "bimbo" has a negative connotation. The official theory believes that the name Bimbo, coined in 1945 when the company was rebranded from its previous name, Super Pan S.A., is the mixing of the words "bingo" and "Bambi".[5] In addition, the innocent, childlike name went well with the brand image they wanted to build.
In Mexico as in some Latin American countries, it is common to refer to any bread brand as "pan bimbo" (bimbo bread) instead of the proper "pan de caja" (loaf of bread). The name "Bimbo" has almost become a synonym for bread.[citation needed] The brand is highly trusted for quality and taste.[citation needed] It has one of the most extensive distribution networks in Latin America, often making it products available even in the most remote places.[citation needed]"

Again, instead of blogging and pointing fingers....why don't you ask the appropriate people the appropriate questions.

If you actually knew anything about the company, they prefer not to do stuffing. They have it on the shelves because people like you WANT to see it, but it is not their forte. They allocate their resources towards perfecting premium bread and other products that are above satisfactory.
