A beautiful life was lost, our the company takes any serious accident and or loss very serious and to heart!!! this world is so full of hate and racism, please do not make false comments on things you SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW!! You do not work for the company! ABC is considered a FAMILY, wether you Have been with the company 1 day to 5yrs, your apart of a family, we work hard everyday spreading the word about safety regulations, with madatory safety meetings each morning, safety test, practices, and certifications, this by all means, was an ''ACCIDENT'' please let the professionals decide, may this human being rest in peace, rest of assure ABC will do anything and everything for Mr. Sokolovsky's family wether at fault or not, CUZ THAT'S WHAT FAMILY DOES!!!!<quoted text>i work for a municipal utility company and as anyone operating buckets in or around power lines knows the bucket and booms have to be dielectric tested every year by an independent testing company and certified to be used in these enviroments, so for ABC i hope they have certification papers for that truck or i am sure as the day is long there could be criminal charges along with OSHA fines.

Just because we are home based in TEXAS, does not mean we do not pay state taxes! We do a business to opertate in that state. Where do you think you live??? The goverment charges for everything! Just because we are home based there, please do not think we bring Texas workers there, We hire locals with Utility tree trimming experience, bucket operator's with experience, drum, jarraff, boom, climers, and groundman experience. Mr Sokolovsky had previous yrs experience, this was just a crazy, horrible accident, may eh rest in peace! |

Again hiring IIILEGAL ALIENS is against the law, also the 1.8 million was investagated on behalf of ABC, we Audit ourselves with the utilities auditors every 3-4 months as madatory, that's our policy at our free will, that 1.8 million was from the KATRINA HURRICANE, where union and non union workers were sent to help in ''A STATE OF EMERGENCY'' Union workers can have up to three types of payroll, in a time of panic, and man power needed this was overlooked and we knew it would be corrected, ABC paid out, ABC did NOT make payment arrangments, BUT PAID OUT!!! |

ABC does not have a bad background, all background, license's and permits, and proper insurance was validated when a proposal was admitted, CL&P Does not hire just NO BODIES, they do investigate and do what they need to in terms of what the contractor is being contracted for, this line of work is very dangerous, it can happen anywhere and for any company, Mr Sokolovsky - may he rest in peace, had yrs of experience, this was an act of GOD, i just don't see how a company can held at fault thru word of mouth, if the owner was not there and was not operation the equipment, the workers that were on site are shaken up, what they witnessed was awful, they felt helpless, this human being went out of this world right in front of them, in reality the Company is responsible for their employees and take full responsiblity becasue it's the right thing to do, and what a company has to do. We at ABC are all shaken up, this was the first in ABC history of it's nature to happen, we take safety serious!!!! This wonderful man will be missed by all those who's life he touched, his family is in our prayers, ABC will be there for them from here on out, REST ASSURE! |

What is a freak accident ?? so it is ok because it was a freak accident thank goodness I will go explain this to his wife and kids its ok it was a freak accident... No it was a miss communicated job plan the job should have NEVER been set up as it was 3 deaths in 16 months somebody needs to get there S*** together and protect every employee It is great you are a big family but it seems to be a little DISFUNCTIONAL at this moment |

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Pete. As I watched and listened to many of people at the funeral reception this was a person who touched so many lives.
This tragedy has changed the lives of a good family. The State of Ct will do their part in the investigation. I have seen comments blaming CL&P but in reality the company hired is resposible for the safety and training of employees as any other company. Be positive as many read these articles even family members. Please view potterfh.com on Pete's Obit and send donations for his children's fund. God bless all and many prayers to the family. |

This is a true tragedy and I am sorry for this individual and his family. It is a wake up call that this is a very dangerous profession and it undescores that safety can't be taken for granted. No matter who does this work they must be trained to do this work properly.
What we need to realize is this company, ABC Tree Service, is suppose to be providing a safe work environment for its employees. This partially is through using proper equipment, training and communication. Something went wrong here creating an unsafe work area. This was not a freak accident. Someone or some people did some things they were not suppose to do creating this "accident". I believe CL&P needs to create a stricter hiring process when selecting these contractors. Each and every person working near these electrical conductors needs to be certified in electrical hazards before stepping on the property. All too often these line clearance workers are being trained or certified "on the job" |

a FREAK ACCIDENT is an act of god, no my message was not intended to be rude or bad, it was an accident, a crazy one, Mr Rudd was helping his guys, God has our birth, lives and death etched out in stone long before we are brought into this world, how he takes us back is up to him, it hurts, it's sad, and at times confusing, our paths in life we have no control over, our deaths are our destiny/ faith, wether we understand it or not. |

I have worked for ABC for a little over a year and not once has there been mandatory safety meetings in the morning or safety tests or practices. We are forced to get down the road and get the job done. Safety is an issue but getting the job done asap is more talked about at this company. |

I am the mother of Pete S. son and the sad thing that everyone is forgetting about is his child!!!
I am the one who has to hear "Will daddy be coming back", I am the one who takes him every week to counseling helping him deal with this tragedy... And workmen’s comp "What a joke they are"!!! They are fighting this coming up with every reason in the book not to pay money to his child!!! But I am sure they go home to there children and can hug and kiss them!!!! Still 6months later and games are still being played by workmen’s comp. And ABC Tree Company is all part of it...Hey what happened to the guy in the bucket? he seemed to have Vanished!!! So now my 5yr old little boy has "NO DADDY"!!!! |

I've seen and spoke with MANY workers from ABC, and you have a better command of english than every single ABC worker combined that i've spoken with, well over 3 dozen. I doubt a single one was here legally. |
