As an ems worker and the mother of two firefighters, it's always devastating to hear "fools" talk about how we do or don't do our jobs. It is, for the most part, a thankless and draining job. To see death, sickness, and broken bodies on a regular basis is difficult. We do our best comfort people and fix what we can, while still trying to maintain our sanity without becoming callous. If some of you think we're useless, then I suggest that the next time you have an automobile accident, or your parent has a heart attack, call TIBBS, or STACEY. They seem to know quite a lot about something they know nothing about.
