Yes, by all means, call for the mighty Federal Governent to get involved in the mico-management of business. This ought to cost a few billion.
Hey Corrine, how does that free car ride? Pretty good on that free gas, doesn't it.
That's why congress isn't too concerned about gas prices. Each Congressman gets a free leased car AND gas, insurance and maintenance ALL PAID FOR BY THE TAXPAYERS. That's why she doesn't care about her constituents.

I WAS AT THE SITE WHEN IT WENT UP AND WAS NEARLY KILLED BY MUCH FLYING DEBRIS.I WAS WORKING ACROSS THE STREET AT THE NEW SEARS BUILDING TILING THE NEW BUILDING FOR WEEKS AND NEVER REALIZED THAT A FUEL PLANT WAS NEAR SO MANY PEOPLE INCLUDING A DAYCARE. THE PERMIT FOR THAT BUILDING NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN.ALSO FOUR PEOPLE DIED NOT INJURED.

That was a scary day. I run a plant in Imeson and we didn't know what it was for a good while. It was such a clear day and the smoke plume resembled 911.

That definitely raised our awareness with the handling of our hazardous materials.

Corrine is so damn inept now she is pointing out the obvious to make herself look good. OSHA standards don't protect people if they are not enforced, we have hundreds of businesses in violation of current standards but there is not enough man power to police them all. They rely on employees turning in their employer for violations. If the employer is good to the employees they won't turn them in. It is simple economics at work, people won't cut off their nose to spite their face!

I have a few observations as well as a few questions. The first is we live our lives in danger daily, but because we go through life blindly for most of us we never realize that we drive or ride in a bomb which upon impact could kill. We have natural gas lines running under our streets, in a failure these too will kill. Automobiles kill and maim more every year than any other cause. Yet do we hesitate to give the keys to a 16 yo? Do we think before getting in and turning the radio up, Appling our makeup, chatting on a cell phone this could be our last day?

Now for the real bomb who in their right mind would allow someone to put a daycare in an industrial park? Where would you suggest putting an industrial plant if not in an Industrial park?

Blessings,
Tom

They don't even know yet for sure what cause the explosion and yet they are going to toughen standards.

"The explosion is still under investigation."

Isn't that a bit of putting the cart before the horse. If you didn't know what caused the explosion how can you change standards to prevent it? Oh wait a minute, I forgot, we are talking about Congress. They do that all the time. Create ludicrous law as a knee jerk reaction to things we don't yet fully understand.

What does Corrine expect from OSHA? A miracle that they can actually do something about anything? Could OSHA have prevented the explosion? Do we need more ineffective government meddling in our businesses and lives?

There is the answer for it all, bring OHSA in to regulate the industry even more. More regulation will bring on higher costs thus raising unemployment. Don't we give the workers there the respect they deserve when we assume that they have full information of the dangers of their jobs (thus the higher wages). I firmly believe that the workers of these high-risk jobs have the mobility and choice to work somewhere else, and so WHY REGULATED? This will only cause more inefficiency in our already inefficient economy.

And we wonder why the world is the way it is...

Thank you First Coast News for bringing this to our attention... now, let's take action and do something about it!

I wouldn't vote for someone "just because they were white". That would be ignorant. But there are 90% of black folks who will vote for someone "just because she's black". Guess they're ignorant.

And they call ME a racist?

She keeps the handouts coming. This is why America is beginning to fall. We expect the government to be Santa Clause and give us everything without working for it. The government is overburdened and trying to do too much with what they have. The only option is to raise taxes and burden us who do work. That is liberalism at its finest.
