I'm all for actually DEFENDING our country. Part of our problem in Iraq was that we won initial campaign too fast.

We would have done better in the long run to allow the Iraqi forces still under the command of Saddam Hussein to regroup before whacking them again. In the process, we would have destroyed them rather than dispersing them to form resistance groups.

Because we are a Democracy stupid! We allow other voices and opinions even when they do not jive with our own.
Also consider the fact that a college campus is not the face of US policy, but rather an institute of learning and a place where ideas can be debated.
