this only comes about one week late. Glad to see Estes Park finally decided to admit they are surrounded by trees. All of your 200 neighbors who lost their homes thank you for putting the public ahead of the almighty dollar.

the National Park (if you had read the article). The city of and valley of Estes Park put the ban into affect days ago. It probably took an act of Congress to get the fire ban in the National Park. This had nothing to do with us in Estes.
Doubt if it took

an act of Congress. But nice try. Maybe sign up for Rhetoric 101 at your local community college and stop giving yourself checkmarks, it just make it look like a pathetic grab for attention.

During many past visits - when there has not been a wildfire burning - campfire smoke in RMNP campgrounds has created ugly and unhealthy conditions. Perhaps it's time to consider phasing out campfires by making this ban permanent. I'm looking forward to a campfire smoke-free visit this weekend.

let us get away from cooking outdoors like our ancestors over an open fire. Let us instead outlaw wood fires and burn up fossil fuels and stay in homes air conditioned to 60 F.

I think the answer is too let the trees overgrow unnaturally and then blame it on the people who want to live naturally.
