Gingrich: Romney's self-deportation plan a fantasy

Full story: ABC News 4 Charleston

Long-established illegal families = career criminals. I'm sick of gingrich saying illegals who have been here over 10 years are law-abiding citizens!!!

Romeny is right. Take away their incentives and these illegal parasites will leave on their own.

That's right.

So round up all those grannies and grandpas of US servicemen and women, who have been solid members of their local communities for 40+ years, and ship 'em back to wherever!!

It won't save us money, or solve the problem, or do anything other than appeal to the vindictive and petty, but hey-- that's what true conservatism is all about.

Then what is the answer to all this?
The problem IMO will come a generation or two down the line anyway so i feel something needs to be done now to at the very least reduce the numbers of illegals in this country by at least 75% of what it is now,
Anyone that has no problem with this situation in all likelyhood have no exposure to it where they live at the moment.
Something needs to be done, i don't think it's about jos for the most part but i believe it's more about quality of life as well as a way of American life.
Personally, on an individual basis i don't have any problems so far but taken as whole i feel there needs to be a halt to the aggressive nature of the way this country is being forced to change to accomodate for those that have no loyalty to this country.
Bottom line we can't be expected as citizens to sit back and have no choice in this matter other than to accept the change with indifference.

Well yeah. That's right. F 'em!!! Chicano guy must have ADD. We aren't going to round up most of them, they're going to self deport themselves. To let these illegal mexiholes stay creates another magnet. Illegal mexiholes will know then that if they break in and lay low long enough, breaking the law every day in order to stay, that the US is not really serious about enforcing it's immigration laws and eventually will let them stay permanently encouraging other foreign nationals to just break in too and lay low for their eventual amnesty. No way gnut.

Whoever think undocumented immgrants are going to leave on their own is naive or stupid? Not even the bad economy of the last 3 or 4 years made them go home, although the unemployment in their community have been very high. In Arizona only 20% left the state after the SB 1070 wa signed and according to recent statistics, at least 40% of them are already back. By the way, if a person cross the border ilegally or overstay his//her visa they commit a crime. Staying in the country illegally is not a crime, then, the statement "Breaking the law every day" is inacurate.

A travel visa is good for 180 days; if they overstay they are guilty of perjury. How many illegals tell customs the purpose of thier visit is to stay in the country illegally and live on welfare?

Presenting false documention is a crime whether it is forged, ID theft or not using the VISA for the intent given

Unemployment is very high because of the continual supply of more illegals keeping wages low. Simple supply and demand.

Kansas just changed the way they provide welfare for anchor babies by counting the income of everyone in the house. Illegals are screaming already as benefits go away. It is not just the southern states that are changing the way they provide welfare for illeglas as they can no longer afford it and the citizens are fighting back.

I am sick, sick, sick of illegal immigrants and their rights. If Gingrich wins the GOP nomination, I will sit out this election. Gingrich and Obama are one in the same. By the way, Reagan wasn't that great either-1986 Amnesty Law. To h#ll with these politicians. We need to vote all of them out for good.

They are also guilty of conspiracy for planning to overstay.

The DREAM is coming because they say the dreamers are preparing themselves for the future demands in the job market the rest of us shall continue complaining about farm and construction illegal workers hoping that doing so we may reclaim those jobs.

It will save us money, you ignorant twit. Who cares how long they managed to circumvent our laws? Illegal is illegal. Find them and deport them or cause them to self deport. Period.

Do you want to personally pay for them? Take them into your house and make yourself fully responsible for them. If not, then STFU.

Jobs Americans Won’t Do? A Detailed Look At Immigrant Employment By Occupation

This analysis tests the often-made argument that immigrants only do jobs Americans don’t want. If the argument is correct, there should be occupations comprised entirely or almost entirely of immigrants. But Census Bureau data collected from 2005 to 2007, which allow for very detailed analysis, show that even before the recession there were only a tiny number of majority-immigrant occupations.
Among the findings:

* Of the 465 civilian occupations, only four are majority immigrant. These four occupations account for less than 1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. Moreover, native-born Americans comprise 47 percent of workers in these occupations.

* Many jobs often thought to be overwhelmingly immigrant are in fact majority native-born:
o Maids and housekeepers: 55 percent native-born
o Taxi drivers and chauffeurs: 58 percent native-born
o Butchers and meat processors: 63 percent native-born
o Grounds maintenance workers: 65 percent native-born
o Construction laborers: 65 percent native-born
o Porters, bellhops, and concierges: 71 percent native-born
o Janitors: 75 percent native-born

* There are 93 occupations in which 20 percent or more of workers are immigrants. These high-immigrant occupations are primarily, but not exclusively, lower-wage jobs that require relatively little formal education.

* There are 23.6 million natives in these high-immigrant occupations (20 percent or more immigrant). These occupations include 19 percent of all native workers.

* Most natives do not face significant job competition from immigrants; however, those who do tend to be less-educated and poorer than those who face relatively little competition from immigrants.

* In high-immigrant occupations, 57 percent of natives have no more than a high school education. In occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant, 35 percent of natives have no more than a high school education. And in occupations that are less than 10 percent immigrant, only 26 percent of natives have no more than a high school education.

* In high-immigrant occupations the average wages and salary for natives is one-fourth lower than in occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant.

* Some may believe that natives in high-immigrant occupations are older and that few young natives are willing to do that kind of work. But 33 percent of natives in these occupations are age 30 or younger. In occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant, 28 percent of natives are 30 or younger.

* It is worth remembering that not all high-immigrant occupations are lower-skilled and lower-wage. For example, 44 percent of medical scientists are immigrants, as are 34 percent of software engineers, 27 percent of physicians, and 25 percent of chemists.

* It is also worth noting that a number of politically important groups tend to face very little job competition from immigrants. For example, just 10 percent of reporters are immigrants, as are only 6 percent of lawyers and judges and 3 percent of farmers and ranchers.

Laugh all you want. Unless an illegal alien came here independently wealthy, they *are* breaking many laws while here. The only reason someone would come here illegally while being independently wealthy is if they have an issue that would preclude them from coming here legally (i.e., criminal background). We don't approve any of those people to come here. Too bad, so sad. We have immigration laws, as do all other countries. Follow them or stay the "f" home.

Someone is confused and muddled today, making it difficult to talk for long without becoming equally bemused. Avoid making decisions or researching important information, because there's a strong possibility of getting crossed wires, or talking at cross purposes. A memory may also be distorted now, leading to mix-ups or bewilderment.
