Lugar loss tempers Romney primary victories for GOP establishment

Full story: Philadelphia's WB 17

After more than 35 years in the United States Senate, Richard G. Lugar of Indiana was ousted Tuesday by a tea party challenger in a Republican primary that demonstrated the perils of compromise in an era of ideological purity and intransigence in Congress.

"The 80-year-old senator, a leading voice for his party on foreign policy, was pummeled for weeks by Republican rival Richard Mourdock for his breaches with conservative orthodoxy.

Among them: Lugar’s support of citizenship for some illegal immigrants and his votes to confirm President Obama’s Supreme Court nominees, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan."

But can Mourdock do well against Joe Donnelly the Democratic Congressman? Many think not. The Tea Party disrespects the experienced politician and this win today may translate into Obama's favorite Indiana Democrat, "Joltin'" Joe Donnelly.

Joe, Joe Donnelly we want you are on our side!

NO...democrats and Rino republicans disrespect our nation in general. This is a democratic republic and the people of Indiana have made their choice. You scumbag democrats are all for bipartisanship as long as it is something you assholes agree with. When you disagree you claim the other side is to blame and not cooperating. We will have to see how joltin joe does in november. I'm sure if he loses it's the tea party's fault right?

The people of Indiana haven't made their choice yet. This was just a primary and the Republicans made THEIR choice (of course, they are imbeciles).

What? in West Virginia a convict got 40 per cent of vote in that primary over Obama and the Republicans are dancing. This is in a State that voted against Obama all the way..voted for Hillary and then voted for McCain so it means nothing really, but they dance (as they are fools, the Republicans are).

What is Mourdock going to bring to the Senate, really? He is anti jobs and anti medicare and anti immigrants and anti Indiana. What is he for anyway?

Joltin' Joe Donnelly will really have to work to NOT get elected over this fool who just beat a very, very, very good politician and person in Hon. Richard Lugar.

All the tea party will be able to say is that Democrats can't pass a budget over and over and over and hope that voters will just be so morally outraged as to vote in imbeciles (with nothing in their brief case so they don't even have a brief case). That would be stupid and almost as stupid as the 60 Per cent who voted Mourdoch in the primary.

Clearly this is your dimwitted opinion.According to you 60% of the voters in Indiana are stupid. You have talked to each and everyone of them? Or is your opinion just more demobastard bias. Since the Republicans did not choose Lugar, who you think was a good politician, once again your opinion the people who voted for Murdoch are imbeciles. Now, this is my opinon but you are nothing more than a disengenious lying sack of shit. Murdoch is against ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS not anti immigrant as you stated. Lugar is pro ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT. My opinon is based on fact. Now as far as your other claims about anti jobs anti medicare and anti Indiana give us some examples. If you support Oblunder and the democrats you are anti AMERICAN. Since this is a republic and your party is pro socialism with a marxist in the white house you obviously hate this nation. If you don't think oblunder is pushing class warfare,a marxist trait, then you are an imbecile. And we will have to see if Murdoch beats your joltin joe won't we. Maybe you can convince enough morons to vote for joltin joe or maybe enough imbeciles will vote for murdoch.

“By defeating Dick Lugar and nominating Richard Mourdock, the Tea Party has done it again, handing another strong pick-up opportunity to Democrats,” said the DSCC memo.“Like Ken Buck, Richard Mourdock is another right-wing extremist who is too far out of the mainstream for independent voters.”

Ken Buck is your lesson tonight ga, see if you can learn something and then see that come November Joltin Joe Donnelly will be fighting the good fight in the US Senate with four more years of the President and taking on the ne'r do well Republicans over and over by the bunch.

So you post the opinion of another nut job like yourself and expect us to believe it has any credibility. Do you think independents like left wing extremist democrats who support Oblunder. Donnelly is a democrat..and this nation has had it's fill of democrats. If he supports Oblunder he is part of the problem not the solution. GM still owes the taxpayers nearly 35 billion dollars that will probably never be paid back. Donnelly supported the bailout.Luger was pro ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT. We will se what happens in Nov. Polls show Donnelly and Mourdock even at 40%. That doesn't look like the tea party handed anybody anything

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
