The issue, again, is not the wood, but the "unfinished" wood. Had the wood been treated in India (by Indians) and then shipped, there would be no problem. However, since Gibson (American Workers) treated the wood in the USA, it is now a problem.
And when was the last time the USA enforced this "Lacy Act"? Was it because Gibson is a non-union employer? Really. It smells more of politics than it does of justice, in my humble opinion.
