I can't believe he is having to pay the bill for a church which was so rude to him. They should be ashamed. My Father in Heaven is not happy over this, I'm sure. Is there as way to contact Mr. Snyder. I don't have much but would like to help .

I can not believe what I just read!!! How in Gods name can the Westboro Baptist Church can call themselves a church and use the name of God. I believe in free speech but like others have stated this has gone too far!!!! These military men and women deserve respect and dignity for all they have done for us as Americans and this wonderful country the one that we call home The United States of America. I wish that I could help in paying his lawsuit which should never have occurred but due to not having working in a few months and just getting back to work my budget sint going to budge. I hope that the Supreme court reverses Mr. Synder's suit around and that he is to be paid the 5 million dollars. A funeral of a child is bad enough but to have people like those that protested have to ability to sue the families is insane. How many more families are going to be in this position? God Bless you and your family Mr.Synder and I thank all those that have served this country in the military.

I can't believe that this judge had the nerve to make this man pay that money. If it was myself none of them would have left the graveyard. First of all they only have that right because of men like him and second they should be in D.C. because he is the one that sends these men there to fight for us. Maybe we should send them to the middle east and they can fin for themselves...My opinion DON'T PAY THE MONEY !!!

You don't do free speech at a funeral for someone keeping their life FREE ...........You know if you people don't like it here go to where he came back from see how fast you come back.......

I thought religion\church was place of faith or gain faith; not to be used to torture a person who just lost a son or daughter.

Maybe God will punish those who decided it was good idea to torture Mr. Snyder.

You couldn't be more wrong. Race has nothing to do with gay. Live and let live is my motto. I am entitled to my opinion also. What I view as right and wrong is just that. Homosexuality is wrong. Protesting funerals is wrong. There is no right and wrong when it comes to race. Whatever you do is your choice, but that doesn't always mean it is the right choice.

The judge was just following legal precedents, if this lawsuit wasn't about the church doing such ignorant acts then people would agree with the judge for saying that Mr. Snyder had to pay the church's legal fees after filing a lawsuit he lost. It may not seem fair but its the law.

As a christian I am appalled by the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church. To picket a funeral is such poor taste, especially one of someone who has served in the military. My husband was a veteran and he would BE HORRIFIED if he was still alive.
