I for one can't stand gay bashers! Let alone ignorant people who protest a funeral of a young man who was defending their freedom!

It's a shame that this man is going to have to pay court costs for the opposition, when they violated his civil rights. What happened to separation of church and state. This bogus church, representing itself as a group of Christians, is simply a money pit to harass other people and infringe on their constitutional rights. Because they jump on the anti-gay ban, many people think the young serviceman was gay. He wasn't.

I do not agree with the gay agenda in this country and I believe homosexuality is totally wrong, but to protest a funeral is just downright evil!!!

It seems to me that the WBC is targeting individuals instead of groups for getting their message across. I do not see any distinction between pickiting a funeral as what the KKK did with burning the cross in an individuals front yard. Both are very tastless and immoral. Both go beyond protesting to harrasment. Why don't the WBC picket the government officials or the pentagon? My guess is that there is not any money in protesting a group as there is in an individual.

While I do think what this "church" and its members are doing is completely disgusting and despicable they do have the right to do it. It is covered under free speech, free speech isn't just the speech we like or want to hear it includes the speech we don't like or want to hear also.

I will not give one cent to a fund that will be used to pay the ignorant individuals who picket funerals of the brave souls who gave their lives to protect our rights and freedoms outlined in the constitution. They should all be ashamed of themselves for calling themselves christians. How dare they impose themselves upon a family who lost a child in this armed conflict. Given the current state of affairs within the Catholic church, maybe they should move their case to the Vatican.

As the mother of two military sons, both of whom have been deployed numerous times, the very idea of this hate group disturbing the funeral service of anyone is unbelieveable to me. What people do in the name of God.
