Walmart is famous for this type of discrimination but they rarely get prosecuted. Perhaps this was to send a message to them to cut it out.

I do think the award was excessive, but I do think he should receive compensation not only for lost wages but court costs, travel and some compensation for time that this was a black mark on his record. There will be some companies that won't even look at him as an employee not because of his disability but because he challenged his employer.

most likely, this guy worked at Stewarts where he filled 2 RX's a shift, and couldnt handle the high volume of Walmart. So the store had to decide between letting him go, and getting sued, or transfering him, and still get sued. Its unfortunate, but Walmart didnt make him disabled.
