Silly. Of course you can't sue a sovereign entity.
That's what diplomats and military forces are for. Besides, this was never about "money for the 9-11 families." A sick joke. This is about money for tort lawyers, first last and always. |

guess who represented saudi arabia....james baker III....the bosom buddy of george bush (past and present presidents).
this is obscene, just like the misdirected war in iraq. |
|
That's a lot of BS! You can't prove that the Saudis had anything to do with it. Tell those fools to just sue Bin Laden instead! |

Be careful what you wish for... The same doctrine that prevents these families from suing the Saudi Government prevents families of Iraqis from suing the United States Government for their losses in an undeclared, unsanctioned war. That blade can cut both ways. |
When McCain is elected you will see war prosecuted with an iron determination. The Arabs and the Pakistanis had better break out the lube now - this is going to hurt a bit! |

Listen dopey, only God can save your soul. While we are here on this earth we need food, shelter and clothing. Many of those who died were the bread winners for their families. They were the ones who were supplying the necessities for their dependents. Now they are been killed through an act of state sponsored terrorism the rogue state of Saudia Arabia must pay! I am sorry if this is inconvienent for the oil billionaires in this country who lobby to protect the Saudis - but their interests are NOT the interests of the USA at large. Here's the plan: 1. Liquidate Saudi assets in this country to pay for the damages they caused - this includes payments made to ALL those adversely effected by their actions, the rebuilding of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and any other physical damage done. Also they should pay for the billions spent in investigation and enforcement of this criminal act. It is expensive to fight wars and to house POWS. They must pay for this. 2. Hunt Bin Laden down, bring him to justice at all costs. |

Don't hold your breath. Sen. McCain had a chance to vote to declassify the twenty-eight (28) pages of name listing the financiers of the 9/11 attacks and did not do so. I have never heard one little squeaking pip out of McCain calling for releasing the information on the names of the financiers and the countries the money came from. I think McCain is as much in bed, if not more, with the Bush secrecy crowd as the worst of the 'unitary president' crowd. McCain has backed down on every single thing he once stood in opposition of Pres. Bush on It is the easiest thing in the world for McCain to pledge to go after Bin Laden. Every politician has repeated that endlessly since 9/11. Here is the Senate Amendment- which was voted down by the Republican majority at the request of Pres. Bush- which would have declassified and made public the names of the 9/11 terrorism funders and the countries they came from- Congressional Record: October 28, 2003 (Senate) Page S13349-S13372 FOREIGN OPERATIONS, EXPORT FINANCING, AND RELATED PROGRAMS APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2004--Continued The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To urge the President to release information regarding sources of foreign support for the 9-11 hijackers) At the appropriate place, insert the following: Sec.. Sense of the Senate on declassifying portions of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. (a) Findings.--The Senate finds that-- (1) The President has prevented the release to the American public of 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. (2) The contents of the redacted pages discuss sources of foreign support for some of the September 11th hijackers while they were in the United States. (3) The Administration's decision to classify this information prevents the American people from having access to information about the involvement of certain foreign governments in the terrorist attacks of September 2001. Move on to what? The next screwing by terrorists and maybe our own government?- Freedom is free it requires vigilance. Democracy is about getting involved. |

Alright, I give, you got me. I am depressed. If not McCain, Obama? I don't think so. So we are left with what? For how long? When our government is this corrupt what are we to do? |

Baker Botts Deals With Heat From 'Fahrenheit 9/11'
Texas law firm takes a Moore-is-not-our-problem approach to documentary http://tinyurl.com/2gwqcg July 27, 2004 Within the first seven minutes of the nearly two-hour Michael Moore blockbuster "Fahrenheit 9/11," a news clip appears of Baker Botts partner and former U.S. Secretary of State James A. Baker III. In the clip, Baker, who led a team of lawyers representing George W. Bush during the Florida recount battle in 2000, defends the president's triumph in that fight. To develop that theme, Moore makes allegations and insinuations about the ties that Bush, his father and his advisers (including Baker, his partners and his firm, Houston-based Baker Botts) had and have to the Saudi royal family, defense contractors and oil companies -- all of whom, Moore contends, stood to benefit politically or financially from a U.S. invasion into Iraq. Baker Botts partner and former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia Robert W. Jordan appears in a clip from a television news interview, while Moore describes the Securities and Exchange Commission's 1990 investigation into insider-trading allegations of then-citizen George W. Bush. Then a Harken Energy Corp. board member, Bush had sold some $848,000 of his shares two months before the company announced major losses. Moore, as the film's narrator, says, "The James Baker partner who helped Bush beat the rap from the SEC was a man by the name of Robert Jordan, who, when George W. became president, was appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia." Bush always has denied any wrongdoing in the matter. http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp... |

FBI agent John O’Neill said: All of the answers, and all of the clues allowing us to dismantle Usama bin Laden’s al Qaeda organization can be found in Saudi Arabia.
In August of 2001 FBI special agent John O’Neill complained bitterly that the United States State Department ---- and behind it the oil lobby ---- who make up President Bush’s entourage, blocked attempts to prove UBL’S guilt for the USS Cole. The US ambassador to Yemen Republican Barbara Bodine forbade O’Neill and his FBI team from entering Yemen. John O’Neill, a much-admired special agent, resigned in frustration with the Bush administration and took a new job as head of security at the World Trade Center. He died in the September 11, 2001 attacks. |

FOREIGN OPERATIONS, EXPORT FINANCING, AND RELATED PROGRAMS APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2004 http://tinyurl.com/3aboto
Congressional Record: October 28, 2003 (Senate) The amendment is as follows:(Purpose: To urge the President to release information regarding sources of foreign support for the 9-11 hijackers) At the appropriate place, insert the following: Sec.. Sense of the Senate on declassifying portions of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001 (a) Findings.--The Senate finds that-- (1) The President has prevented the release to the American public of 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. (2) The contents of the redacted pages discuss sources of foreign support for some of the September 11th hijackers while they were in the United States. (3) The Administration's decision to classify this information prevents the American people from having access to information about the involvement of certain foreign governments in the terrorist attacks of September 2001. (4) The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has requested that the President release the 28 pages. (5) The Senate respects the need to keep information regarding intelligence sources and methods classified, but the Senate also recognizes that such purposes can be accomplished through careful selective redaction of specific words and passages, rather than effacing the section's contents entirely. (b) Sense of the Senate.--It is the sense of the Senate that in light of these findings the President should declassify the 28-page section of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001 that deals with foreign sources of support for the 9-11 hijackers, and that only those portions of the report that would directly compromise ongoing investigations or reveal intelligence sources and methods should remain classified. http://www.fas.org/irp/congress/2003_cr/s1028... |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 1, 2003
Office of Sen. Charles E. Schumer http://tinyurl.com/3cfdxq SENATORS APPEAL DECISION TO KEEP THE 9/11 REPORT'S 28 PAGES CLASSIFIED Led by Schumer and Brownback, 46 Senators argue that America is being kept in the dark about possible Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks A group of US Senators led by Democrat Charles Schumer and Republican Sam Brownback today asked the President to reconsider his decision not to release 28 classified pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. Earlier this week, the President said declassifying the 28 pages could compromise national security. In their letter, the Senators argue that those concerns can be addressed through responsible redaction, rather than totally effacing the section’s contents. The Senators wrote that keeping the material classified would essentially spare Saudi Arabia from any public penalty for the support it may have given to terrorists. "It's clear to me that the support for making this material public is growing by the day," Schumer said. "We've gotten 46 people on this letter and there are two other Senators who have called for the public disclosure of this material. The bottom line is that keeping this material classified only strengthens the theory that some in the US government are hellbent on covering up for the Saudis. If we're going to take terrorism down, that kind of behavior has got to be nipped in the bud and shedding some light on these 28 pages would start that process." http://www.fas.org/irp/news/2003/08/cs080103.... |

The Royal Treatment: Saudi Involvement in Iraq Overlooked
September 18, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/yrfr3l Reporting on Iraqi benchmarks in mid-September, Bush and his team of Gen. Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker sought to pin some of the blame on Iran. Eschewing diplomatic language during his testimony, Crocker boldly said, "Iran plays a harmful role in Iraq." Gen. David Petraeus added that Iran is fighting a "proxy war" in Iraq by aiding Shiite extremists and providing weapons that are killing American troops. Anyone doubting that Bush is not serious about taking on Tehran should note his words from last month: "We will confront this danger before it is too late." On September 17 the Telegraph reported that the Pentagon has already drawn up plans for massive airstrikes against 2,000 targets across Iran. The great irony is that while of these accusations towards Tehran are supported by thin evidence, plenty of evidence does exist that another of Iraq's neighbors, U.S.-ally Saudi Arabia, is supporting resistance groups in Iraq, and intends to continue to do so. Report on 9/11 Suggests a Role By Saudi Spies
August 2, 2003 http://tinyurl.com/37xp9p The classified part of a Congressional report on the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, says that two Saudi citizens who had at least indirect links with two hijackers were probably Saudi intelligence agents and may have reported to Saudi government officials, according to people who have seen the report. These findings, according to several people who have read the report, help to explain why the classified part of the report has become so politically charged, causing strains between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Senior Saudi officials have denied any links between their government and the attacks and have asked that the section be declassified, but President Bush has refused. People familiar with the report and who spoke on condition of not being named said that the two Saudi citizens, Omar al-Bayoumi and Osama Bassnan, operated in a complex web of financial relationships with officials of the Saudi government. The sections that focus on them draw connections between the two men, two hijackers, and Saudi officials. The report urges further investigation of the two men and their contacts with the hijackers, because of unresolved questions about their relationship and whether they had any involvement in the 9/11 plot. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html... |

Bush Won't Reveal Saudi 9/11 Info
Saudi Minister Calls Alleged Terror Link 'An Outrage' July 29, 2003 http://tinyurl.com/39gg3m (CBS/AP) President Bush refused on Tuesday to release a congressional report alleging possible links between Saudi Arabian officials and the Sept. 11 hijackers. The White House sought to question a Saudi citizen who befriended two of the hijackers. Bush said he could not comply with a request by the Saudi foreign minister for a chance to clear the Arab kingdom's name because publication of the report could hurt U.S. intelligence operations. After the report was released last Thursday, Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan issued a statement saying that "28 blanked-out pages are being used by some to malign our country and our people." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/07/30/wor... |

Bush fighting Iraqis has nothing to do with al Qaeda
Bush administration is a total failure because al Qaeda has been smuggling loose nukes from South Ossetia Georgia in 2003 and 2006. It is only a matter of time before al Qaeda blows up a Nuke inside the USA. |
