I don't have the bag. But I showed it to the Vet. Our dog came down with Pancreatitis and Diabetes...and stopped eating but we tried to give him anything and everything...THESE he would eat...and get sicker. If I had only known this two months ago he might still be around. Contact COSTCO and have these removed from their shelves. Also told BEGGIN STRIPS cause Pancreatitis by THE VET. WHY ARE THESE ON THE STORE SHELVES? WHY? The pain of putting down your first dog who you expected to outlive you is HORRENDOUS.

My full breed German Shepherd was just a few days short of 12 years old and was still full of life and loved to run around outdoor with a foot long 4 x 4 in his mouth. He loved Wagon Train chicken strips and begged for them all the time. Like someone else mentioned, the last bag I purchased at Sam's Club in Portage, Mi, seemed to be off-color to what I was used to seeing. After eating a few of the strips he began drinking water like he never had before, and a week ago Thursday he vomited three times. He seemed to be ok in the early evening when I went to visit my wife in the hospital, but when I returned home he was lying in front of the door. I had to go to another door to get in, and when I got to him he had expired. It all happened within 24 hours. After being told by my son that there was a problem with the chicken strips, I went and looked at the bag and, sure enough, it had "Made in China" printed in large black letters at the bottom of the bag, Needless to say, I will never again purchase ANYTHING with "Made in China" printed on the label. I miss my dog terribly - he never left my side when I was at home.

We have 3 small dogs. I have been giving them the Waggin' Train treats for months. Recently one of our papillons became sick. He was throwing up and not eating or drinking. We took him to the vet and they said he had a serious bacterial infection. They asked if we had been feeding him anything different and I said no, not thinking about the treats that he had been eating for a while. Now I find out those treats are made in China and the FDA has issued a warning about chicken treats made in China making dogs sick and killing them. The vet said he was serverely dehydrated and wanted to put him on an IV. Our dog died. Not because of the infection but because of an error the vet tech made by putting his potassium straight into his IV instead of his drip bag. It stopped his heart. But if we had known about the treats earlier I would have thrown them away and maybe he wouldn't have gotten so sick. Shame on the Waggin' Train brand for saying that thier treats are safe even now after more then 70 dogs have died from chicken treats made in China.

I fed my dog these treats for about 3 months, only kind she could eat cause of her food allergy. Slowly but surely she started getting more lazy and less hungry. I went on vacation and was planning to take her to the vet when I returned. She died thursday while I was gone from kidney failure due to these treats. These people need to be sued...

I gave these treats to my dog for about 3 months. All she ate really with the occasional dog food. Slowly but surely she started getting more lethargic and less hungry. I went on vacation over thanksgiving break and had planned on getting her checked out when I got back. While I was gone she died of kidney failure. To what I was giving her..these damn people need to be sued.

Menu foods has posted a list of all brands and codes that are affected. Check out menufoods.com . Good luck getting them to answer the phone though if you decide to call them! Good luck!
That would have been helpful if the link was to a list. The link you posted actually takes you to a metal container manufacturer for animal food and doesn't have links to news or topics anywhere.

I see everyone has been having issues with the Waggin Train Tenders...any one having health issues that been using the Kingdom Pets Chicken Jerky or Kingdom Pets Rawhide Twists? I have been feeding the Twists to my two dogs for years with no issues. The Chicken Strips only 1/2 a strip a couple times of month, and two of my cats loves a few bites a few times a week at the most. Thank you. I am upset at so much from CHINA stuff. They don't have the same regulations we do and I don't understand why these things are being allowed on our shelves! We took it for granted that our laws included what was available for us to buy on the shelves. Thanks for your responses in advance.

This is so disturbing AGAIN that our pet food treats are being recalled from China. Our country better wake up and stop importing this garbage from China.
I'm sick and tired of the FDA doing nothing about the continual problems. I won't buy anything from that country.

I fed my 18 month old yellow Lab the Waggin Train chicken strips and she developed a neurological problem. Her head would involuntarily bob from side to side. The strips were the ONLY new treat in my house (I bought it from Sam's Club) and thanks to the Good Lord I figured it out. I threw away the 3/4 full bag and her problem went away. She is now 3 1/2 and has never had another problem since. I will NEVER feed my dogs any more products from China.

I just want to know if Beefeaters Sweet Potato Fries or Treats has caused any health problems for their dogs. I have two Yorkies that are sweet tater addicts and go thru a big bag in a short period of time. I'd rather make potato treats myself, but in the meantime want to know the lo down on this brand.

Not all ingredients from China have to be listed on the package, there are legal ways around full disclosure, per FDA.
Why, with all the known misery Chinese imports have caused, would you take a chance feeding anything that you Know is Made in China?

I HAVE JUST GOTTEN OFF THE PHONE WITH BEEFEATERS NATURAL DOG TREATS. AND YES SOMEONE NAMED KARINA ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE PHONE. SHE SAID YES THEIR PRODUCT IS MADE I CHINA BUT IS OVERSEEN BY AMERICAN TECHNICIANS. UNFORTUNELY THAT IS NOT MAKING ME FEEL ANY BETTER SO I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN ANSWER DEFINITIVELY, YES OR NO, IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THEIR PRODUCT, LIKE WAGON TRAIN AND KINGDOM PETS, COULD CAUSE HARM TO OUR DOGS. HOPEFULLY I WILL RECEIVE A CALL SOON. I DID ASK HER WHY, UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES,WOULD THEY EVEN CONSIDER INVOLVING CHINA IN THE PRODUCTION OF THEIR PRODUCTS. SHE POLITELY REPLIED,"I'LL HAVE SOMEONE CALL YOU." I WILL WAIT FOR THEIR CALL BUT IN THE MEANTIME BUY AMERICAN!!!

An FDA document leaked this week from a confidential source within the US Congress details the chronological timeline of tests that the agency has performed on chicken jerky treats since 2007 – tests which many pet owners say have ignored some of the most potentially lethal substances possibly responsible for the rash of pet illnesses and deaths.

I've lived in China 5 times and ate all over the country with no problems. However, friends with babies imported formula from Hong Kong and Europe due to the deaths from tainted baby formula. If they would do that to food for babies I have no doubt that treats made for dogs could certainly be lethal. I will return what I have of Waggin Train treats to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club with information about this brand.
