What ever happened to the fact that drug manufacturers have an absolute non-dischargeable duty to prove their drugs are truly safe?
Since the FDA relies on the drug companies to provide the data proving safety and, as hhistory has repeatedly shown, companies have hidden adverse safety information from the FDA, FDA approval cannot be taken as a guarantee of safety but rather today, as a rubber stamp on the data provided that the drug won't kill or severely damage a significant percentage of those who take it.
Whatever happened to the Constitution's guarantee of the individual's right to bring a civil suit for damages?
Whatever happened to the reality that the States and not the Federal government have the duty to protect the safety of their citizens in the areas of food and drugs?
Since government agencies, including the FDA, have shown that they cannot guarantee the safety of our food, drugs, borders, and ports, how can any prudent person with a conscience equate FDA-approval to anymore than an fatally flawed promise of safety.
