YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF MESH IT IS BY GOING TO THE HOSPITAL THAT YOU HAD YOUR SURGERY AT AND ASK FOR YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS ALSO YOU CAN HAVE IT TAKEN OUT AND DO NOT LET THEM PUT IN ANY OTHER MESH IN HAVE IT SEWEN UP THE TRADITIONAL WAY LIKE THEY USE TO GO TO GOOGLE TYPE IN HERNIA MESH THEN CLICK ON THE SITE THAT SAYS FDA WARNS OF DEATH AND SERIOUS HEALTH YOU CAN LEARN ALOT THERE GOOD LUCK |

I had hernia surgery in may 2006--incisinual. It was not 4 months until I had multiple hernia all along the incision. Mesh was used but i'm not sure what kind. i've been putting off surgery because i'm afraid after a few months, i will have the hernia's again. My stomach looks like it has big knots in it.

I was so glad to read JJW's comments.
I just saw my Dr. today and I am scheduled for an incisional hernia surgery in two weeks. He is using mesh. So do you really thinks this is safe? I have a wonderful surgeon and I trust him with this. Have you had the mesh used on you, JJW???? |

I am from Samantha, Al. I have had about 8 hernia
repairs. I just heard about the recalls,but my Dr. hasn't said anything about them. I am having bulging places and sounds of fluid inside. He doesnt know anything to tell me what should I do. I am having alot of pressure and pain. I also having double layers of mesh from years past. |

You need to go get help go to a teaching hospital ,go to emergency get them to run test also go get copies of your medical records and find out what kind of mesh you have and don't let anyone put any more mesh in you If your Doc can't give you answers he should be finding you help good luck

Where can I get a copy of th e mesh that has been recalled?? I have had 2 fixed and a third one has came out!! I can not even do adl stuff from this mess. The surgery clinic did finally give the lot numbers and the company name. Thanks BEC

i had proceed mesh in 2008 and had bowel obstruction, hands and feet numb and weak, back problems and on all kinds of pain meds, stomach is bigger then when i was 9 months pregnant, my whole life is all screwed up from this!

I HAD A MESH SLING PUT IN IN 2008. MY UTERUS WAS SHOWING WHEN I ARRIVED HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL 3 DAYS LATER. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND NOW I AM BACK WHERE I STARTED. WILL I EVER GET ANY COMPENSATION FOR THIS FAILED SURGERY?

I HAD SURGERY USING MESH. I had surger oct. of 2008. when i arrived home 3 days later my uterus was showing. The surgery was a complete failure and soon I returned to the same misery. will I ever be compensated for this. I would appreciate an answer. thank you

Yes I had surgery for a hernia 2years ago and for the past month I have been having stabbing pain on the right side and my stomach on the right side is bigger the than the left side I think the mesh let go I thought I had another hernia but I don't so he has me taking Mortin for 2 weeks than if better he is gonna do a cat scan Denise |
