FDA says chemical found in plastic bottles is safe

Despite ongoing safety concerns from parents, consumer groups and politicians, a chemical used in baby bottles, canned food and other items is not dangerous, federal regulators said Friday.

This is just another blatant example of the federal government sucking up with big business interests at the expense of the average citizen. But it shouldn't come as a surprise given all the money big business can spend to buy a favorable decision from the govt.

RESEARCH now shows that the Bush administration has diluted, eliminated and curtailed enforcement of the safeguard of Public Good in deference to Republican business interests. Scientists do not allow any bisphenol in any products that they or their family members use. You should guard your personal use of products containing it!

I never consider FDA study results before making decisions to buy bottles/baby toys for my children.
There are many examples show that FDA fails to protect us the consumers.
If FDA publish its study, I will check the European Standard first to make sure it is alright. Too bad that we wasted too much people's tax money to support FDA and they don't work for us.
