For all of the folks (the than the ones saying they are using rabbit ears or other indoor antennas) that that say you can not get channel 6, are you using a low range (ch 2-6) VHF antenna? It should preferably be mounted outside. I am using a high range VHF/UHF (ch 7+) mounted in the attic and I get a marginal signal. Meaning it is only good on clear days. I live in Burlington, NJ and I have no obstructions (trees, buildings). I am sure it would work perfectly mounted outside.

We switched from DirectTV (over $120 mo.) to digital over the air. We supplemented that 120 amo. with Netflix unlimited streaming of movies for $8.00 a month. We haven't been happier. Oh, by the way I haven't been able to get channel 6 since I replaced the satelite antenna with the digital anetenna. Everything else is crystal clear! We are in Willow Grove, PA.

Same thing is happening to me. My suggestion. If you have a computer start watching ABC online. I did when I had cable (from missing shows when they were on - doing other things). I have Netflix too which is awesome.

Plus, Netflix just signed a deal with NBC Universal and will start instant streaming channels they own, including Syfy and USA. Not sure when this will start but it's something to look forward too.

Video killed the radio star...computer killed the tv star?

It's good to hear that other are having the same problem. ABC spent lots of money for a new building. Don't you think you should have put your viewers first.

I'm in montgomery county and I only get channel 6 from about 11:30 pm til about 10:00am. However, on holiday's and weekends the channel is clear all day. In fact I was watching the Thanksgiving day parade today and the channel was crystal clear until Santa came rolling down the street and thats when the channel cut out. They must control how and when they allow us to watch their shows. Its Disney's ploy to get everyone to buy cable. Fortunately most of their shows suck anyway.

I'm also in South Philadelphia. I haven't seen anything on ABC in about a year. I've tried everything, but have now decided to stop trying. When WPVI wants me as a viewer, they know where to find me. We have no plans on buying cable or any other contraptions to watch our programs.

You all think you have it bad, I'm no more than 5 miles from 6abc on city ave-- and cannot get one peice of 6abc. I do beleive that something needs to be done, actions or advice, before no one has the desire to watch 6abc!

I can no longer afford to subscribe to cable TV, so I bought an indoor antenna and hooked it up to my digital TV. I get CBS and NBC fine, but can't get channel 6 at all. Is anything going to be done about this or should I just get used to not watching ABC shows?

Forget about ABC... I've been without channel 6 since June 2009 since the digital conversion. Their UHF signal is too weak for most people who have an antenna to pick up. I miss Jeopardy and Action News but don't even remember what else was on there. Some of the new digital channels such as 17.2 and 17.3 have some vintage programming and there are some other interesting channels.

Interesting comments. I live about 50 miles east of Philly and get a strong (over 75 meter reading) for channel 6 over the air. I also can get channel 7 from NY occasionally at night. Channels 3, 10, 17, 23, 57 and others also come in well. Channel 12 comes in rarely. I have both a VHF and UHF antenna on my roof about 20 ft above the ground. They are connected to an amplifier.

cable is a rip off for repeats and movies and you still have commercials the cable companies are big time crooks I am in west chester and I get 23NJN but still have problems with 6 digital gets out better then analog and I have an outide antenna. The cable companies probably paid someone off to mess the signal money talks

I live in Harleysville, 15 miles from the 6abc antenna. I have a VHF and a UHF antenna in my attic with a booster in the attic and one in the basement where the signals go to my 1st floor tv's. Just before the digital switchover, when both analog and digital were being broadcast, I was getting most of the new digital and HD signals except 6 abc. After the switchover everything came in great. Last month I just bought a new Sony TV with a built in HD tuner. It skips 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and doesn't see them. Even though my old HD tuner received it on the same line. And my other tv's still receive it in digital and HD. I just checked the antennaweb site today and I see that 6abc is the only channel still on a VHF frequency. The other channles like 3.1 even though it is named 3.1 isn't vhf anymore, it's some other UHF frequnecy but there is some conversion that your tv registers it as 3.1. I'm going to try to follow this through and see what it all means. If anyone has information to add it would be appreciated.

Have tried every possible way to get channel 6. Loved the channel, was upset about it for awhile, but got over it. With the additional channels that I do get now, I don't miss it at all. Do get 3 & 10 plus all the others, and extras. So over all, I say it's a great trade off.

I barely watch tv but wanted to watch Revenge on abc...(I saw it on Hulu and it's great!). Noticed for the first time that I don't get Abc. I am in Edgewater Park, NJ.

After reading these comments, I guess I won't hold my breath.

Anyone out there from Channel 6 reading these? Probably not. Probably don't care or they would take measures to make sure we get a signal like we get on channels 3 and 10. If anyone knows someone who is someone at channel 6, please pass this info on. Maybe if they realize they are losing tons of watchers, maybe they might care---a little maybe? Like everyone else, will watch the other channels instead. oh well. Thanks for not caring ABC!

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
