Oh my god you people are stupid. America actually ranks number 1 with military tech and comerrcial. China and japan are bith competitors and sorry if i spelled that wrong. But yeah mostly everything you use is american made. They also say america is as advanced as it is now because we had encounterd an alien race in the 1940's and that we and that alien race are secretly working together so the rest of the world whont know, i dont know if the alien thing is true or not but yeah ive read several charts that say america is 1 japan is 2 china is 3 and russia is 4 and the uk is 5

It was erica who first discoverd electricity, dropped the first atomic bomb. We own the b-2 bomber which is the worlds most safisticated bomber the most advanced war ships and stealth fighters. We also have the most nuecular warheads and russia comes 2nd. We are also the richest country in the world. Plus many countriez rely on america for protecton and our charoty. Many things wouldnt be here today or or things as they are now without america

And ohr advanced tech we have now was styff that was made in the 60's or 70's so theres no telling what america has invented now thats years ahead of the rest or the world

Plus america has weapons that could wipeother coutries off the face of the earth. We just choose not to use those weapons but uf we really whanted to we would only if we whanted to we just choose not too

Someone here earlier mentioned how The united states is the most technologically advanced because of some inventions. Well quite frankly almost all of the inventions the person listed were quite frankly invented by europeans not the americans, and some were innovated not invented. I'm surprised everyone just accepted his comment without even questioning or a little research. Well here's the truth to his statements.
Americans Invented Cars - False, Karl Benz is credited with inventing the modern automobile. All Henry Ford did was innovate the concept how to get the most money of cars. Basically he found out how to get rich by mass selling already invented tech.
Americans Invented Airplanes - False, not the first to build and fly experimental aircraft, the Wright brothers were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing powered flight possible. The wright brothers did nothing of significance, they altered already invented things and made flight easier then before. If it wasn't the wright brothers someone else would have done this in a week or so, it was only a matter of time not high technology as loads of other people were working on the same thing as the wright brothers.
On regards to Electricity, it is true, Benjamin Franklin was one of the important figures to study it, however he lived in a time before USA was even characterized and was mostly influenced by british culture around science and his own brain rather then american culture.
NASA was behind the Russian Space Agency pretty much always. The so called moon landing was not of any significance to the USSR as it already launched modules to the moon and consider putting people there less significant and was working on Mars and new Satellites already instead of the moon.
In conclusion, I only give one credit really to USA's science workforce out of all he stated, and that is the first "modern" computer. In general USA's science strength is Computer Software and Computer Hardware. However that is basically all. Cars are best in Germany, Nuclear Technology in Russia, The best Weapons and Military technology are invented mostly in europe as the french person stated before me. Airbus is the more advanced aircraft generally and outsells Boeing. Genetics & Biology are most advanced in Britain.(Cloned DOlly, first artifical virus, first artificial organs)
And with all due respect, modern americans are mostly innovators, not inventors. They take something invented and improve it to a certain social level were it could give them lots and lots of money.
However I'm posting this because I want the readers to understand next time someone credits inventions to people, double check and research instead of just accepting the fact. That is all.

Just like to point out to all, sorry about people on here from US being jerks ;) we arnt all like that and I hope you know that, and second nationalism is a good thing it's the drive to make your nation #1 that makes nations great :D finally stop blaming religion for mistakes, the only 2 religions to actually hurt advances are catholic and Muslim (crusades and terrorism respectfully) Buddhism, Christianity, and so on didn't do those so it's not a full on religion problem, don't kid yourself ;)
