Lets go over the facts here for a minute or two. First off lets start with the witnesses and evidence. If anyone has done any research on this, one of the first people to call this sighting in was a pilot. Come on, this guy doesn't fly planes almost everyday for who knows how many years so what are we thinking to listen to his testimony; he wouldn't know something strange if he saw it. Seriously, this would probably be the most credible witness you could find along with the confirmation by multiple employees on the ground. Also you have a taxi-mechanic who works on these planes and observes planes all the time; he was interviewed. He was quoted saying,“But I know that what I saw and what a lot of other people saw stood out very clearly, and it definitely was not an [Earth] aircraft."

You then have to look at the description of the event and object by witnesses. The object was a definite object, dark gray and probably 6-24ft in diameter at 1500ft. It was stationary and hovered for several minutes before bolting through the clouds at such a speed you could see the clear blue sky through the hole on an overcast day. The airports explanation was,” Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon," she said. "That night was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low [cloud] ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things. That's our take on it."

Oh it was lights, thanks for clearing things up for us O'Hare. When was the last time you saw a "light" punch a hole through a cloud by reflecting off of it? Also, when is the last time you saw a dark gray light reflecting off of a cloud when it was still daylight outside? That's right beside the obvious that lights are not dark grey. It probably would have been pretty difficult seeing a light on the clouds, even on something as bright as a spotlight when it was still daylight at 4:30pm and 1900ft high even though it was around sunset. Even If you could by chance see the light, it would probably actually make the area of the cloud it hit turn lighter which is the exact opposite description of what people saw. You would think also that these people are able to distinguish a light hitting clouds from a solid object next to the clouds, especially the pilot. This is the guy who is responsible for the lives of everyone on his plane; it is pretty scary to think he has trouble seeing things.

The real question is not whether or not this was a UFO; based on the evidence by the witnesses it was clear that they saw something. The real question is when are we going to be told the truth about what is really going on?

He ought to change his name to Milkevitch since this story will be his entire career. Oh, and this story was reported months before the controllers allowed the Trib and Milkevitch to plagerise it.

I work real close to OHare. Seeing these types of visual phenomena happens quite often, probably a good dozen times a year....and guess what most of the time it is??? UFO...NO, reflections off the hull of a jet.
In fact I've seen these bright lights 'jump' rapdily depending on clouds, and at what angle the jet is traveling against the sunlight.
Do you people GET IT REALLY? Hmmm, fast moving jets, shiny metal, tons of lights, busy airport, sunlight, clouds..oh gee it's a UFO buy me a telescope so I can watch the martians behind the comets.

I'm hopeful that once the O'hare expansion project is completed that there will be sufficient capacity to handle these visitors as well as their luggage. Given the state of air travel today, I'd also be very reluctant to risk traveling to a major U.S. airport. It might help if United offered them a complementary executive club pass.

It is quite possible that the UFO have their existance felt in our tiny world. There are hundreds and thousands of stars planets and extra terrestrial mass exist .Oue human knowledge is just a baby's day out. Lets have patience and strive for Truth.

If it's been "covered up" and we aren't being allowed to know what is "really going on," how is it that you claim to know that there's something "really going on"?

You say, "We are ready." Who's "we"? You really think that if aliens with super-technology showed revealed themselves to earth societies, we're "ready" to just unite and accept them and share the abundance and technological miracles that decades of science fiction have convinced you must surely follow?

How have you convinced yourself that we would not have wars and skirmishes and espionage all over the world aimed at getting alliances formed with the aliens to destroy this country or that country? Are you really so naive that you think that various peoples around the world would not want to get the aliens on "their side" against their enemies? Like radical Islam would not want to use the alien technology to kill the infidels? Like communists would not want it to use against capitalists and vice versa? Do you really believe thousand-year-old hatreds would vaporize?

What about the fact that this would throw just about every religion on earth into chaos? Religious leaders who cling to power and wealth and prestige by keeping their congregations in fear would suddenly have to explain why "God's" book did not foretell of this or account for it. They'd be desperate and terrified of losing their "flocks" because suddenly their dogma and doctrines are cast aside and instantaneously shown to be false.

How can we be God's chosen people in all the universe when here come these aliens who are doing far better than we are?

So religious leaders would be railing against the aliens and anyone who trusts them -- you know, they'd be saying they're really the emissaries of The Devil, etc. So there would be unrest and wars about that.

Here's some information for you: PEOPLE'S SAY-SO IS NOT A "FACT".

Have you never heard of people who have established credibility then using that credibility to scam others, or pull hoaxes? IT HAPPENS. The perfect person to pull off a hoax or make a false claim is the guy who has impeccable credentials and is easy to believe. Duh.

But, you already KNOW what is "really going on." You must -- otherwise how is it that you claim to know that what we're told by the government is FALSE?

I liked how the story said that one "witness" had a "religious crisis" or whatever over the "sighting."

Just the fact that the person is "religious" and that this caused them consternation tells me to doubt whatever that crackpot has to say. I don't view religious people as being all that rational.
