It appears that the fanatics have only cut off thier nose to spite thier face? They didnt want consolidation, now the crap is going to sit there forever and hurt us even further. I feel bad for the people who were relying on moving that waste to the ballfield like me and my family were. I am in favor of consolidation there. I am not worried about the fanatics who dont even live in this area but my own family's health.

Asbestos is most toxic when airborne. That's how it gets into lungs. How does it get airborne? By DIGGING IT UP. Trucking it around Stratford puts all residents in danger.

If you live in Milford, Shelton, or Bridgeport and the wind is blowing the right way, you get a lungful too. On the other hand, if you live in Washington DC you are safe.

Moron. It only hurts when its airborne. As a person who lives near the ballfield I don't want it in my neighborhood. The idea is not to leave it where it is. The idea is to resolve the issue once and for all. The EPA and state DEP need to have their feet held to the fire and get this stuff removed and rid Stratford of this headache. This headache that was NOT created by Stratford but is forced to live with.

I have to agree with "Dont Even Go There" because other residents and I who have been plagued by this problem think there is fanatics who just want to leave it there. Wrong choice. Maybe your a moron for wanting to leave it there also?

Fanatics who want to leave it there? Where did you read that? You want it dug up and reburied here? Now that is dumb. How many years will it be till it's dug up again?

Maybe the toxic waste near your home has affected your cognitive abilities. I never stated I wanted it left where it is. I want this scurge on the town removed once and for all. I don't want the EPA to play a shell game and move it from one part of town to another. I want the EPA to do what it should have done in the first place and get it ALL out of town.

What sense does it make to take toxic waste from one residential area and dump it in another? Get rid of all of it and the headace is gone.
