Alright fine, I'll play devil's advocate, there's no global warming. That said, Is there such a thing as pollution? Or are all those superfund sites just liberal political imaginary places??? God forbid somebody speak out about actually caring about the future of our planet.

Why is Cheney still the VP of the United States? Not censured for any action. Not forced to resign for any action? Do even you Republicans think so little of the "Office" of the Vice President of the US that you tolerate this man? What total disrespect to America. Ok now you ignorant loser neo-con trolls can speak up. Cheney's diarhea.

"That said, Is there such a thing as pollution?"

Sure, there's pollution. And yes, we need to address that.

But that's not the discussion here. It's whether "global warming" is a settled scientific issue and if it's not, whether the Executive branch can and should control and edit testimony by one of its agencies.

It's the Bush administration position that "global warming" is not a settled issue, and that the cure could be worse than the disease.

whether it is or isnt shouldnt be a requirment for whether or not the white house can edit findings, its position is one of opinion.the science alone should be presented not tainted by opinions of people who might not like the findings,or would benefit from the findings either.
If its fact, its fact, nothing is gonna change that, not even making it seem it isnt

Get over yourselves. You've been pushing irresponsible theories on how horrible big business is for decades in hopes of a more socialist economy.
Whether its global warming, the MIC, the PIC, imperialism, on and on and on.
Thank god our govt. doesn't go with knee jerk left leaning theories and base policy around them.
Can we not just have a happy medium.
OK, I guess not. Hang that treasonous socialist commie bastard. Die Cheney Die. Impeachment first. Lynching last.

So...the administration isn't responsible for public policy? "Global warming" and the response to it isn't a policy issue? And if there's contradictory science...and there certainly is...and the administration is more receptive to the contrarian position, doesn't it have not only the right, but the obligation to make sure that all of its agencies are fully on board?

I am glad we still have a leader left that has some stones. Cheney never had any thing to lose. He wasn't running for anything after Bush. He has always done the right thing in every action he has taken. Cheney is the best VP that I can remember. The left hates him and that's what I like best about him. "Global Warming" as a phrase isn't thrown around as much as it was last year. The dire predictions that disasters were just around the corner, or that it was already to late, are just simply not true and are certainly not science at all. If you want to disagree I will respond.

He is behind more American deaths than Ben Laden.

For Cheney, pollution is the metric by which they measure the flow of cash into their bank accounts.

JDAZ imagines that...This is a half baked story to get the left wingers riled up and fit in with your conspiracy theories.
__________

Don't you find it hilarious that conservalists (or should I call them socialatives?) find conspiracy theories in stories they claim fit liberal conspiracy theories. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

WATCH OUT! The UN's black helicopters are above your house!

Thank God we soon won't have two oilmen in the White House anymore.

Then we can finally get serious about climate change!

Cheney/Bush know more than those old liberal scientists do. Why should they listen to anyone else? They are the new conservatives. Anyone who does not agree with them is a...a commie liberal. They have even tried to make "scientist" a dirty word...

Burnett declined to ... identify the people he had talked with in Cheney's office or elsewhere at the White House. "I'm not interested in pointing fingers at individuals," he said.

LOL.

What planet does this guy live on? If he doesn't think he's going to have to "name names" now, he's more naive than "Kate." (See "Godfather.")

Is it not obvious to all but the most blindly partisan, that climate change is real and has real consequences, some of which may be accurately described as ominous? The very predictions of scientists regarding the consequences of man-made climate change are occurring before our eyes: overflowing rivers, hurricanes with greater destructive power, the disappearance of polar ice... what is it going to take for the world to wake up? I fear for our children and grandchildren, and if McCane is allowed to take the White House, I believe future generations will most certainly pay a catastrophic price.

I don't understand how anyone could be a conservative these days. I just don't get it. They continue to support Bush/Cheney and their policies, they just look the other way, ignore it, and blame anyone else but themselves for every problem that is CLEARLY their own fault. It is just wrong and pathetic. Only in America.
Conservativism is a mental illness. To deny the facts, to deny reality, to cling to a failed ideology even as the results become ever more destructive, can only be the behavior of an insane person.

Big deal. The hypothesis that humans are causing global warming is the biggest lie concocted by the same people who once told us that the world was cooling. Good for Cheney. Score one for the smart people in this country.
