Give us higher MPG fuel economy standards on cars and light trucks now! Give us electric cars and plug in hybrids now! Impeach this corrupt regime with haste, and start to reverse the environmentally and economically disastrous policies of war for oil and corporate welfare for Haliburton and Enron et. al. that are bankrupting our future and killing off our natural resources. Unchecked pollution and regime approved torture will be the shamefull legacy of Cheney/Bush. George Bush sr. was an environmental wacko compared to this jerk and his boss deadeye Dick Cheney!

The best and most effective answer is to make sure lefty squawkers like you are never allowed to be in charge of deciding anything for others. Your posts are evidence enough.

"GM chairman Maximum Bob Lutz said global warming is a "total crock of shit."

Bob adds "I'm a skeptic, not a denier. Having said that, my opinion doesn't matter." Speaking about the battery-driven Volt, Lutz said, "I'm motivated more by the desire to replace imported oil than by the CO2 [argument]."

At the lunch Bob also said hybrids like the Prius make "make no economic sense"

and the Volt is exciting for him because "it's the last thing anybody expected from GM."

Don't hold back Bob, tell us what you really think."

Keep pounding the table. Here is what a believer in AGW says about his fellow believers:

Bjorn Lomborg, Danish author of 'The Sceptical Environmentalist' and former member of Greenpeace, addressed a climate conference in Sydney on November 22-23.

His new book suggests alternatives to the proposed Kyoto treaty on the reduction of 'greenhouse gas' emissions, using detailed analyses to argue that Kyoto will cost a lot, yielding only miniscule benefits.

His critics to date seem better at name-calling than any serious refutation of his research.

What sort of criticisms have you encountered to your work, and how have you responded to them?

BL: A review was published in Nature, very scathing, essentially calling me incompetent, though they didn’t use that word. I am putting a reply on my Web site in a few days, where I go through their arguments, paragraph by paragraph. They paint me with all kinds of bad adjectives, but basically, if I’m so wrong, it should be easy to say, this number is incorrect, instead of just calling me an immoral person or somebody who doesn’t understand things. So I say, come out with the numbers instead of just calling names.

A favourite phrase I’ve heard from lawyers is, "If you have a good case, pound the case; if you have a bad case, pound the table." If you hear that people are pounding the table, it indicates they don’t have very good arguments.

Hey JRS, you never answered my question, you like getting crappy gas MPG with $4.00 a gallon gas? You don't think the gov'mt should regulate / increase MPG standards? You rather have strip mines and oil drilling rigs than nature for your surroundings? If you don't believe in global warming that is your perogative, but why is the concentration of CO2 in our air so high? Do you believe we need nature or do you believe all the corporate / republican BS about how we don't need nature and should let corporations ruin it for free with no regulation whatsoever?
