Davey, if you want to be a real "leader" in the hoax that is so-called global warming, why don't you have C-ville taken completely off the electricity grid. You can hire the "occupiers" as consultants in getting by, more or less, without the juice. You deserve each other.

It's so funny how many people complain about pollution, but they drive by it and work under it every day. People that tall round thing made of brick on the other side of the road from the uva hospital is a SMOKESTACK! You are breathing that every day!

The government now admits it has been “testing” the manipulation of earth’s atmosphere with barium salts, aluminum dioxide and other toxic compounds.

I am proud we have the dumbest mayor in the world. This guy is a spineless pig. I usually see his fat tub of lard at bodos sucking down a bagel. He must be meeting with the EPA to discuss CSAPR. Working hard to put people out of work and end up in Lee Park. This guy needs to go back where he came from.

Another reason Charlottesville should be moved to California. This in additon to the leftist beliefs of Council and a lot of the people proves that they would fit right in with the Socialists.

Another example, all of the problems we americans face are driven by the one's on the public dole. Why is c-ville almost cal-ville? university influence.

Your tax dollars at work folks. Is there some sort of expertise that I am not aware of that he brings to the table with EPA? Perhaps Major Nerdis will return to Charlottesville via Winneba, Ghana. I hear the library project has stalled.

Again, what was this report and how credible was it? What other reports provide the same feedback? And John, I do not complain about pollution every day.
Why doesn't Mayor Carrot-Top make Chville a sister city with Mexico City; they can provide a lot of insight on air pollution and drug problems.
And ask Jafar on city council about pollution in Asia.
I will, however, admit that pollution in our area contributed greatly to Dennis Rooker's tonsorial conversion from fluffy to Dorothy Hamill flat!

Most of the posts seem to assume that norris is talking to epa about co2 or climate change. But the story, which shouldn't have been too hard for anyone to read all the way to the end, even if they foam at the mouth immediately upon hearing norris' name mentioned, plainly stated that the issue is over an allegedly non-enforced 1977 regulation. Folks, back in '77, co2 and climate change weren't even gleams in al gore's eyes -- this is most likely about sulfur dioxide, which even republicans recognize is harmful to humans, property, paintjobs, farms, forests and fish (it was the reaganistas and bushies who invented the SO2 cap-and-trade program for the federal clean air act finally adopted back in 1990, in order to strengthen the weak controls imposed by nixonians and carterites in the '70s). Now, if norris thinks the problem is that an existing regulation isn't being enforced enough, he is free under federal law to step up and fill that gap -- the clean air act allows any citizen to file suit in federal court to prosecute violations of emissions laws, if it looks like federal and state regulators are asleep on their donut breaks.

The proposal to disperse sulphur dioxide in an attempt to reflect sunlight was discussed in a September 2008 London Guardian article entitled, Geoengineering: The radical ideas to combat global warming, in which Ken Caldeira, a leading climate scientist based at the Carnegie Institution in Stanford, California, promoted the idea of injecting the atmosphere with aerosols. “One approach is to insert “scatterers” into the stratosphere,” states the article.“Caldeira cites an idea to deploy jumbo jets into the upper atmosphere and deposit clouds of tiny particles there, such as sulphur dioxide. Dispersing around 1m tonnes of sulphur dioxide per year across 10m square kilometres of the atmosphere would be enough to reflect away sufficient amounts of sunlight However, now that increasing awareness of geoengineering as a result of the chemtrails phenomenon has propagated widely, authorities are slowly being forced to disclose certain aspects of the program. We are now not far away from full disclosure of the true extent of geoengineering experimentation. Scientists now admit that vapor trails from aeroplanes are creating “artificial clouds” that block out the sun. This is no longer a matter of debate. The chemtrail “conspiracy theorists” were proven correct. how much can you take
