Board meets on school lead contamination

The state health department this week proclaimed Island Trees High School, where independent tests recently found high levels of lead in an area below the auditorium, safe to open for classes next week.

I dont belive the State or Nassau county Healt Dept it's not there children that go to the school and one of the Board members wanted to know why the kids were down in the basement . Maybe the basement wasent closed
