And your defense or answer to any question that shows you are an ignorant blowhard is that. Tell me, Engels, are you having a stock market crash party yet? If you should decide to do so, please invite Yogi. I think the derelict boat basin would make a good setting for the party. Some of us could contribute the musical entertainment:

It is science that you choose to ignore because it doesn't back up your goofy points. You have produced NOTHING that even comes close to backing up your theory. You never do, you never will.
You ignore real questions and repeat this complete stupidity.
"anybodys guess"????
You will soon drop this topic and it will go away. Just like you said the government HAS severely penalized reporters that are critical of the government. I Asked REPEATEDLY for ONE example, just ONE! Nothing!!! NOTHING!!
When you are faced with fact you just let the topic die and claim victory.
Toxic dust from the hotel implosion? You posted they didn't have permits, They did! Personal physical attacks on you? You posted numerous times I personally attacked you and caused harm? NOPE more baseless garbage. The "run on banks a virtual certainty"?
Where? When?
You said last week you bought a horse farm for "pennies on the dollar"? Really? Now you assert it was a figure of speech?
It's a long list David that goes on and on.

It's anybody's guess. Personally, I would not invest beachfront beyond the cost of a hot-dog stand or tackle shop.
Huge sums of money, materials and human resourses are being squandered to erect mega-luxury coastal development projects instead of earmarking such resourses towards projects that are not remotely subject to floods, etc.
When these luxury coastal properties are flooded, you will see the same BS you see now, whereby the bittered owners will be begging Congress for money to cover the loss.
Who are you kidding? Secretary Paulson will be on a spending spree with taxpayer's $$ buying stock in those coastal properties as the water is rising over the top floor.

We are in for a WILD ride! Fasten your seatbelts, folks.

While you were hibernating, this argument about global warming has been addressed and debunked.
Take a look at the Bush report your husband provided, especially the chapter on abrupt climate change. It destroys your argument about global warming, abrupt climate change and the water rising high enough to cause a problem until MAYBE centuries from now, and that is uncertain. Continuing on just makes you appear dimwitted and foolish. My observation is that you have to have some sort of thing to be up in arms about. Life is easier if you focus and pay attention to facts, reality, and the changes in the earth's atmosphere since God created it. This is all normal.

Maybe you should focus on taking care of Gulliver. Founder recovery requires a lot of hands on daily care, as well as a calm and positive mind. Horses pick up on anxiety as you know. If he is still lame, what helped for me is taking a newborn diaper and duct taping it to the bottom of his foot, with a lot of tape at the sole. It has to be changed every day, but gave him lots of relief. There is also an equine slipper on the market that you can pad on the inside with the diaper and it is easier to change out. I bought them bigger so they could accomodate the padding and I also duct taped the bottom of the slipper so it did not wear as fast.

He was much happier and the lack of pain helped the healing. He's in his 20's now and acts like a 10 year old. I hope Gulliver recovers the same way. Don't listen to just one vet, especially when they tell you there is no hope.

A "stock market crash party"? Millions and millions of people who put money away for their retirement find they are worth considerably less this weekend than they were last weekend. I'm finding it hard to see where that calls for a party?

In my Abnormal Psychology classes this type of behavior was extensively researched. It has to do with how they feel about themselves, not others. That is why I feel the pity I do.

As an example, I live a much more moderate, comfortable, and calm life. They have had financial and career troubles dating back quite awhile (and documented by the court papers that are online). One year, I think it was around 2005 or so (I don't have a photographic memory, just a good one) they were trying to claim indigency in one of their court cases because with Rochesterian as the lawyer and Yogi as the law clerk, they brought in a grand total of around $2100 one year. The reason they gave was a hurricane. The judge said the reason was that all they did was file frivilous lawsuits for themselves when they should have been income generating. The extensive research and exhibits they provided showed competency in the field and there was no reason they had to claim poverty except their own actions. Do I find joy in that? No, only pity.

Ike did take some commission out of my wallet for this year, but I will make up for it in the coming months and early next year. I know my abilities and my positive outlook will sustain me through the turbulent economy, PLUS, living in Houston is a benefit since we are still growing jobs and selling houses.

I've quickly come to a point where I don't feel any negative type reaction to their craziness. I use it as a time to say a little prayer for them, actually.

Nothing has been reported to my knowledge. However, even with the drilling prospects that Congress are looking at, the gulf side of Florida would not receive the rigs, the Atlantic side, may be a different story though.

Unavoidable financial reversals (UFRs) can be caused by hurricanes, stock market crashes, health setbacks, etc.

In 2004, hurricanes caused the Mrs. and myself to suffer serious UFRs, far too broad to discuss in this arena. Given our UFR pleadings came during a banner economic year for most lawyer/homeowners in the Tampa area, our UFR arguments were dismissed as frivilous despite the fact we were not homeowners at that time.

I imagine the recent stock market crash will increase the amount of UFR related pleadings among all professions. Perhaps you/yours will be among that group?

No, I won't. I'm strong and steady, as well as living in Houston where the economy is not so hard hit. I also work in an industry that thrives in economic hard times because we provide a service made even more necessary when money is tight. I'm blessed.

Thank you for at least thinking I work in a psychiatric wing, not reside in one. I consider that a positive step in our online banter. No, I work with large corporations helping them save $$$.

I don't know what you mean by "self-serving" since I receive no acknowledgement from anyone about my posts since I choose not to reveal my name. This public forum is set up for exchanges of thoughts, ideas and information and I am merely a contributor.

I think that during the last few days you have toned down the name calling and most of "the end is near" posts and we've had somewhat of a normal exchange. I've also dulled down my blade a bit and not proded you on the discrepancies of what you and Yogi have posted over the years.

Hasn't it been somewhat nice?

#amn! All the more reason to party! It went up some today, but just like before, as soon as everyone realizes the fix does work, it will come crashing down again. Predictably. But, a word of advice, be sure to have a keg of beer on hand, helps to ease the misery.

Personally, I prefer champaigne, which I will be drinking at the party when I snap up one or two of those miserables cool horse properties for 2 cents on the dollar.

Gotta LOVE capitalism! It is called the 1929 deja vu. Wanna dance?

Pardon me, a typo:
corr: "everyone realizes the fix does work" = everyone realizes the fix does not work

And it won't. Just watch. I give it about 10 days, and then it will really crash.
