The area HAS been Officially closed off to the Public for almost ten years now. They kicked the Valley Fire Chiefs Fire Training School out because of the Pollution issue (supposedly) but, continued to let Fisherman, Quad riders and Dog walkers access.
In the meantime after 10 long years the Valley Fire Dept's STILL dont have a facility to properly train their people.

Politicians stink.

I thought they bought land for their new school somewhere in Naugatuck or Beacon Falls? If I heard wrong that's too bad, how can they let this go for so long?

I do think O'Sullivan's gonna make a nice place for recreation.
